Kuwait! After a long wait, it’s finally here – Avenues Phase IV and the inauguration of 11 new brands in Kuwait!
A few bazaar-ites were lucky to tour the new premises with the Al Shaya Group a day before the launch, so read on for our favorite attractions!
Our first impression of the new Phase IV is how it seamlessly continues where the original Grand Avenues ends. Beautiful hanging installations, a fantastic glass dome with lots of light coming in, mosaic and Gaudi-esque gold features are just some of the highlights of new phase.
We were beyond excited to see & Other Stories and MONKI, both new to Kuwait and the latter appearing for the first time in the Middle East! While they are both part of the H&M group, you can be sure to find completely different collections – from vibrant and minimal to bright and funky.
Speaking of H&M, you cannot miss their new massive store situated at the centre of the main plaza, right under the dome and next to the new Starbucks Reserve. This is set to be the new flagship store in Kuwait and lives up to its name with its modern, clean Swedish aesthetic.
Another must-see – the Debenhams store, which at over 11,000 square meters is stated to be the largest outside the UK. We’re talking three floors and a total of 150 brands, including 40 fashion and 20 cosmetics brands such as Tom Ford, Huda Beauty (YES!) and Urban Decay. You will also find collections by Heidi Klum and Jennifer Lopez, and an impressive lingerie section.
Phase Eight, which gets its own store, delights with its stylish and beautiful range of evening and party wear, while glamor and elegance hit a high note with Kurt Geiger’s signature stilettos, footwear and accessories.
Beauty lovers should not miss the first NYX makeup store in Kuwait, Tromborg, famous for its organic skincare products, the first Clinique store in Kuwait, and handcrafted fragrances by Le Labo. When we stopped by Korean beauty brand Etude House, it was like being a kid in a candy shop – fun, happy and romantic beauty products for all!
You can also stop by The Body Shop, which is the newest and largest store in Kuwait, with a VIP make-up room and an emphasis on cruelty-free, vegan and fresh products. Aveda, with its combined retail store, salon and treatment center, also focuses on organic raw herbal ingredients and organic essential oils.
We also got to try three new food concepts:
400 Gradi – an authentic Italian restaurant offering homemade gelato and traditional Neapolitan pizza cooked in a 400-degree oven.
Blaze Pizza – quick ready-to-eat pizzas featuring an interactive open-kitchen format that allows you to customize one of the menu’s signature pizzas or create your own.
Cleo – a Mediterranean restaurant infused with Hollywood glamor, masterminded by its award-winning Chef Dany Elmaleh.
So what are you waiting for? Visit the new Avenues Phase IV, today!
