We remember the hours we spent planted in front of the TV playing Sonic, trying to grab the golden rings, failing miserably and arguing with out siblings on whose turn it is now.
Our memories of the game are definitely happy ones and these two models inspired by the Sonic himself and his evil nemesis Dr Eggman are making us even happier.
Sonic is represented with the textured suede in bright blue to resemble his fur. Green at the heel for the grass and the checkered yellow and orange for the roads he runs on. The hidden and understated details mean that only a true fan can comprehend the subtle nods to this enduring game.

Dr Eggman is grating and mildly menacing. Yet this shoe is anything but that. Pebbled red patent leather is used for the upper. Caution stripes on the sides that never deterred our hero.
Our favorite detail on both of these shoes are the golden rings strung in the shoelaces.
