Q: Why did you become a barista?
I LOVE coffee, not to be a coffee snob, but to actually be able to have the best cup of caffeine every single day. To me having coffee is a daily source of pleasure.
Q: What’s the best part of the job? Which part is the worst?
Waking up knowing you’re doing something you’re passionate about, and the smile you get from customers after handing them their much-needed cup of coffee makes my day! The worst part is being on your feet all day long.
Q: What makes a regular cup of coffee amazing?
Freshly roasted and ground beans, a passionate barista, and brewing it with lots of love.
Q: How much coffee do you drink in a day?
Depends, around 2-3 cups, but some days, when trying out new coffee I lose count.
Q: What do you do for fun?
Socialise with friends, read, cycle when the weather is great, or bake!
Q: How do you deal with really annoying customers?
Listen to them, usually they are just reflecting their inner problems, either had a bad day or bad experience somewhere. I just listen, smile and show them that I appreciate everything they are saying.
