Whether you love to talk about your teeth or not, the reality is you should be. The constant care that it takes to maintain those pearly whites for that beautiful smile, is definitely something you should maintain. And, as the practical billboard for the rest of your face, you may just want to spend some more time with them. In this case, the new-ish adage is true: if you don’t use it, you lose it! With that in mind, we sent the bazaar staff member with the worst teeth for a visit with Dr. Moayed Abu Sara to see what he could learn from a chat with the dentists down at Noor Clinic.
What are some tips that you can share with our readers to help them achieve and maintain a beautiful smile?
To accomplish and maintain a beautiful smile, you really must have good oral hygiene. The best way to maintain this is to eliminate plaque and other deposits on your teeth and gums, which can be achieved through regular and proper brushing and the flossing of teeth-it’s the only way. Additionally, periodic dental visits, preferably every 6 months or as recommended by your dentist is also good to be sure you stay on track.

What are some of the newest procedures to arrive at the Dental practice at Noor Clinic?
At Noor Clinic, we utilize the latest technology in all dental treatments, that way we stay at the forefront of dentistry. That said, we are always in search of new and innovative technologies for all dental procedures.
What is the most common dental complaint that you receive from your patients?
Most patients would only visit their dentist when they feel pain, and so they already might not be feeling great. At the risk of getting too technical, this is due to untreated carious teeth, so pulp exposure occurs and results in acute pain and swelling which in some cases is due to infection.
How do you stay updated about the latest procedures in Dentistry?
The dental practice has changed rapidly through time and dentists need to keep up with these updates. For my personal and professional growth as a dentist, I attend conferences and workshops relevant to my practice. I have attended national and international conferences wherein I learned the current trends in dentistry and now incorporate them with those that I have learned and practiced over time. Basically, by keeping up to date on both the world of research, and my peers, I am able to stay in the know on all new techniques and research.
What separates Noor Clinic from the rest of the competition in terms of Dental Services?
The majority, if not all, of the dentists in Kuwait are of a high caliber and are well trained and experienced in their field of practice. What differentiates the “Noor Clinic” dental department specifically is being part of a unique ambulatory health service model that includes dentistry, dermatology, beauty and obstetrics, and gynecology, where we offer a more complete array of all the necessary health requirements for both women and their families.
