It is here to serve us nostalgically handcrafted ingredients, starting with a simple but delicious custom blend of Guittard chocolate, and triple distilled oil of peppermint. Poured over a sleek marble table is a mixture of layered melted dark chocolate, expert candy makers then top this off with another layer of creamy white chocolate for that perfect sweet and bitter balance. Williams Sonoma also expanded their Peppermint Bark collection to two flavorful varieties, Salted and Dark chocolate. The Salted Bark highlights one key ingredient, which is Jacobsen’s purely flaked sea salt for that added savory but delicate crunch. While the Dark chocolate Bark features intensified Guittard chocolate flavors by adding extra layers of both their semisweet and bittersweet chocolate.
The ingredient that brings this wonderful and wintery, snowy bark to life is crushed pieces of peppermint candy. The Peppermint Bark original results in endless bites of balanced out textures and harmonious flavors. Williams Sonoma made sure that every taken bite would not turn into an overwhelming explosion of chocolatey and minty flavors, but rather focused on equally proportioned amount of ingredients for their famous Bark. The original Peppermint Bark first debuted in 1998. Williams Sonoma continue to pour their heart and soul into the process of perfecting it, by trying out more than 20 rounds till they settled on that one famous recipe, which everyone’s obsessed with. Essentially spending 12 weeks every year, and more than 24 hours to make a batch of the Bark, the effort shows with every single flavorful bite! They will also be launching special Middle Eastern flavors, and we simply cannot wait to try them out.
