After initially looking at the body of work that this young artist and jewelry designer was able to present a little while ago, we knew we wanted to get to know her just a little bit more. Muneera Hamed Alsharhan made her bazaar debut almost one year ago in our fashionality feature, and we couldn’t wait to explore her fun side in our truth or dare column. Since our first encounter with Muneera, she has gone on to participate time and time again at the wonderful Pretty Little Things show and then presented her fantastic first solo exhibition at Bayt Lothan producing incredibly rare and unique pieces.
Muneera Hamed Alsharhan is an artist who specializes in creating contemporary jewelry. She cites her fascination with it being the ‘powerful connection people can make with them’ and loves their ability to convey ‘our secrets and dreams’. A Rhode Island School of Design Graduate with a BFA in Jewelry and Metalsmithing, the artist continues to craft meaning into her bespoke work.

Where would you like to live? What is your dream retirement location?
I want to live happily in Kuwait. But my dream place would be a nice little house surrounded with trees, like having my own little forest, with a secret garden that has butterflies and flowers all year long. Does that exist? Maybe i’ll build my house in a greenhouse…
What is the first famous quote that comes to your mind?
Life goes on.
What animal best describes the kind of partner you’d be interested in?
Maybe a German Shepherd. Smart, brave, loyal but also very playful, kind, and loving.
What do you miss about your childhood?
Not having too far to fall…

Welcoming but also curious.

I am a little stubborn.

I know many random facts about many random historical figures but not enough to call one a favorite I think.

Unambitious people.
