Behind the stores, cafes and restaurants we know and love is a vast network of people, products and logistics that keeps everything moving. For Alshaya Group, that network has just expanded with the opening of its first company-owned distribution center in Kuwait.
Located in West Abdullah Mubarak, the new Kuwait Distribution Center marks a significant step in the Group’s ongoing development of its logistics and supply chain infrastructure in its home market. The facility is designed to bring key logistics activities together in one central location, helping Alshaya serve its stores across Kuwait more efficiently while supporting the continued growth of its international brand portfolio.
Spanning 51,000 square meters, the center offers 51,000 pallet locations and approximately 140,000 cubic meters of storage capacity. More than simply a warehouse, it brings together retail, food, shop-fit, eCommerce and last-mile delivery operations in a single location, supporting around 50 brands and 490 stores across Kuwait.

For a group whose portfolio spans everything from fashion and beauty to cafes and restaurants, the scale of the operation reflects just how much needs to happen behind the scenes to keep those customer experiences running smoothly.
“The opening of our new Kuwait Distribution Centre is an important milestone for Alshaya and reflects our continued focus on strengthening the infrastructure behind our brands and stores,” says Tony Arnold, Chief Logistics Officer at Alshaya Group. “Its more central location allows us to serve our stores more efficiently, improve the movement of products across our network and provide an even more responsive service to our operations.”
The center is supported by a fleet of 110 vehicles, connecting the facility with Alshaya’s extensive store network and last-mile operations. Behind the wheels and warehouse operations is a team of 585 colleagues representing more than 15 nationalities, highlighting the human scale of the infrastructure as well as the physical one.
The new facility also provides a platform for Alshaya’s future growth in Kuwait, consolidating its logistics operations while creating a more agile supply chain capable of supporting its expanding network.

The opening was attended by John Hadden, Chief Executive Officer of Alshaya Group, and represents another milestone in the company’s long-standing presence in Kuwait. Established in Kuwait in 1890, the family-owned business has grown into one of the world’s leading brand franchise operators, with more than 70 international brands across the MENA region, Türkiye and Europe.
Today, Alshaya operates more than 3,500 stores, cafes, restaurants and leisure destinations, alongside major logistics and food production operations and more than 125 online and digital businesses. Its portfolio includes Starbucks, American Eagle, Foot Locker, Victoria’s Secret, H&M, Bath & Body Works, Charlotte Tilbury, Raising Cane’s, Shake Shack, Chipotle, Primark and Ulta Beauty.
With more than 50,000 colleagues across its markets, the Group’s new Kuwait Distribution Center is ultimately about what happens beyond the shop floor: building the infrastructure that allows the brands, products and experiences customers know to keep moving.
