Art is even better when you get to see it happen. After previous editions at Arjan Square, 360 Mall, and Dasman Building Outdoor, ARTJAM returns for its fourth edition on 31 October 2026, this time at Hessah Plaza, bringing a fresh wave of colour, creativity, and community to Kuwait.
Created by Not Necessarily Famous (NNF) and Artspace, ARTJAM was built around one simple idea: “For the Artists, By the People.” The concept puts artists at the heart of the experience while inviting the public to get closer to the creative process, meet the people behind the work, and discover art in a more interactive, accessible way.
For its 2026 return, Hessah Plaza is supporting and hosting the initiative, creating a space where art, music, and community come together for an evening that celebrates creativity in all its forms.
30 Artists. One Shared Theme. Endless Interpretations.
This edition will bring together 30 selected artists, including 25 fine artists and five muralists, who will create and compete live. Working from a shared theme, each participant will bring their own perspective, style, and imagination to the challenge, turning the event into a showcase of different artistic voices and approaches.
A judging panel featuring creative minds from different fields will evaluate the artworks, bringing a range of perspectives to the competition. And because no great creative gathering is complete without a soundtrack, the evening will also feature a special back-to-back set from two leading DJs, keeping the energy going as the artworks take shape.
More Than an Exhibition, It’s a Chance to Be Part of It
Forget the usual gallery experience of walking past finished works. At ARTJAM, the process is just as exciting as the final piece. Watch artists transform blank canvases and walls into original creations, see how different interpretations of the same theme unfold, and meet the people bringing these ideas to life.
Whether you’re an art enthusiast, an aspiring creative, or simply looking for a different way to spend your evening, ARTJAM offers a chance to experience art up close, support local talent, and connect with Kuwait’s creative community. You don’t need to be an artist to join in. You just need to show up, explore, and enjoy the experience.
And in keeping with its founding spirit, both artist participation and public attendance are free. By removing the barriers to taking part, ARTJAM aims to give artists greater visibility, encourage creative exchange, and make art accessible to a wider audience.
A New Chapter for Kuwait’s Creative Community
Following a long pause since its pre-COVID editions, ARTJAM’s return marks the beginning of its next chapter. With plans to continue the platform across different locations and communities, the initiative is looking to build on its original mission and create more opportunities for artists and audiences to connect.
For one evening, Hessah Plaza becomes a meeting point for art, music, and fresh ideas. Come for the live creations, stay for the music, and leave having experienced something made possible by the artists and the community around them.
