& Other Stories started as an idea for a beauty brand but quickly came to grow into something that revolved around the whole look. For the launch in 2013, the brand’s concept brought beauty and fashion together, focusing on inspiration and personal expression. This approach and the joy of colour cosmetics is reflected in the new range, capturing the idea of makeup as a tool for creativity and an integral part of the whole look.

Two years in the making, this elevated collection with products for complexion, lips, eyes, cheeks and nails has been developed by the & Other Stories’ team of beauty experts and chemists together with some of the world’s leading independent beauty partners. It works like a color wardrobe, featuring core products with carefully selected tones and shades and seasonal standout specials.

In developing this range, the team invited a diverse group of individuals representing different ages and a wide variety of skin tones to test the products. Their feedback on colors, textures, performance, scents, and finishes for complexion, lips, eyes, cheeks, and nails was invaluable. This input played a crucial role in shaping the color range to ensure that each category caters to various needs, preferences, and perspectives. As the range evolves, &Other Stories will use customer input and needs to guide future development.

The ingredients in & Other Stories’ makeup collection are thoughtfully chosen to nourish and care for your skin. Hyaluronic Acid retains moisture to keep the skin soft and smooth, while Squalane enhances softness and smoothness. Vitamin E acts as an antioxidant, maintaining the skin’s condition, and Castor Oil serves as a moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated. Jojoba Oil, a skin-regulating emollient, offers a wide range of benefits and promotes smoothness. Cocoa Butter and Rice Wax, both rich in fatty acids, provide deep moisturization and softness. Candelilla Wax, a versatile cosmetic ingredient, adjusts the viscosity of products, while Sunflower Wax moisturizes and smoothens the skin. Finally, Shea Butter, derived from Shea nuts, adds a luxurious and nourishing touch to the skin. Together, these ingredients ensure a skin-loving and indulgent experience.

All products are housed in contemporary packaging that is specifically designed to suit each formula. To make recycling easier, & Other Stories has removed traditional elements typically found in makeup products, such as mirrors in compacts and weights in lipsticks. The brand also uses fewer packaging components whenever possible, minimizing items like outer boxes. Additionally, all paper used is FSC-certified, supporting sustainability efforts.

The collection is a testament to thoughtful and ethical beauty. Every formula is vegan and enriched with skin-loving ingredients, meticulously crafted in the EU. Each product undergoes rigorous testing and evaluation, ensuring that multifunctional claims and final finishes meet the highest standards. Dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested, these products are safe for use on the skin and around the eyes. Moreover, & Other Stories stands firmly against animal testing, ensuring that neither their products nor ingredients are tested on animals during any stage of development. This unwavering commitment aligns with the EU Cosmetic Regulation’s prohibition on animal testing, no matter where the products are made or sold.
