This month we sit down with Abrar AlShammari, a university student majoring in International Relations, for a glimpse into how the world at large melds with her own personal worldview.
With a range of interests that teeter equally between Poetry and Politics, she sees learning, books, and education at large as a way to get us all out of our own collective funks and into the bright world of a potential tomorrow. A writer who often contributes to this magazine, amongst others, she is as fervent about fictional short stories and novels as she is their real-world news article counterpart; thus, it is no surprise that the passion found on her blog is only matched by the practical and opinionated political commentary also found therein. With an end-goal that hopes to effect humanitarian aid, be it via writing or otherwise, we sit down with this very impressive woman for a glimpse into what makes her tick. As a passionate voice that is willing to engage in debate and put her own heart on the line in the process, the motivations that drive her become as obvious as they are awe inspiring. If you have not done so already, check out her blog for great commentary on current issues; otherwise, you will just have to keep an eye out for her next piece here.
