Q: Why did you first get into Pastry business?
My father’s best friend was a pastry chef, he used to take me to work and I would watch him work and began to really like what he made.
Q: Where were you before you came to Kuwait?
I lived in Lebanon, Belgium, KSA, the Ivory Coast, and Jordan before I came to Kuwait.
Q: Describe your favorite dessert from your home country.
The iconic Knafa dessert, of course!
Q: Name three ingredients you can’t live without in the kitchen.
Chocolate, fruit and butter.
Q: What is the most important part of a sandwich?
The last bite, as it needs to be as good as the first bite.
Q: How does your personality differ inside and outside the kitchen?
Inside the kitchen I’m calm, creative, and passionate, and outside of the kitchen I spend most of my time with my family.
Q: When you’re not cooking, what do you do for fun?
Spend time with family, swim whenever I can, and listen to relaxing music.
Q: If you weren’t a chef, what would you like to be?
Nothing, I only dreamed of becoming a chef and I am lucky to have that dream job.
Q: If you could choose, what would your ‘last dessert’ be?
Crème brule is my favorite dessert!
