We love creative people. Whether they are artists, painters, dancers or even bakers. They are the people who add more color and whimsy into the world, but they are also the people who start conversations, show us new perspectives and invite us to rethink our world. We intentionally scour our social media channels to discover new-to-us individuals who are unafraid to share their art and vulnerability with the world. Here are some of our current faves.
@ephigeniablue
This Toronto-based artist’s Instagram feed is full of traditional, digital and even mixed media art. Her images are very saturated and bold, but their context feels quite open for interpretation.
@aacanvas
We just want to fill our walls with Alymamah Al Awadhi’s gigantic works of art. There is a lot of fluidity and motion in her paintings. They are so colorful and abstract, that every time we look at them we have different feelings.
@thebiscuitsstudio
Farah Bastaki’s type art is so relatable. She is saying the things we’re all thinking. But our favorite project is the enamel pins she has just released that look like Rocket popsicles. Now we are craving both the pins and the ice cold treats.
@bufifty
We just love graffiti. It is temporary art that doesn’t take itself too seriously. But it can still be a great medium for expression and change. And we absolutely love what Abdullah Bukhamseen is creating on the walls.
@hussains_art
Hussain doesn’t do subtle, his bold strokes and thick lines are loud and we’re digging the high-contrast. Definitely one to watch.
