This year, Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara filled the Holy Month with many charitable activities to support those in need in Oman.
The resort, for the second year in a row, organized a clothing donation drive consisting of new and pre-loved items to be sent to Omani Bahjah Orphan Society. Almost 200 staff members participated by donating 220kgs of clothing.
The items then joined other donations in a special makeshift store onsite at the Omani Bahjah Orphan Society where families in need were encouraged to enjoy a free shopping spree.
Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara didn’t stop there! They also visited various mosques in the Dahariz area to hand out 1500 iftar boxes, each containing a traditional main course dish, sides, salad, and sweets. All meals were prepared by the resort and has been carried out for a second year in a row.
When it was time for Karankasho (what we call Gergean in Kuwait), a group from the resort brought traditional gifts, like toys and games, to the pediatric unit at Sultan Qaboos Hospital to bring cheer and a few smiles to the faces of the young patients.
It’s charitable initiatives like this that make Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara stand out from the rest and we can only expect to see more in the future.
