Everyone loves a good boat trip. Out on the open water, the fresh breeze and the waves bopping you along. It is one of the only few places left where you can still connect with nature without having to deal with pollution or noise. Whether you are into watersports like sailing or a fishing enthusiast, the sea is a haven where you can forget all about your worries. Unfortunately, the seas and oceans have been witnessing rising levels of water and air pollution because of the boats that use fossil fuels.
Fortunately, there is now a zero-carbon emission option. Kuwait’s first all-electric motorsport/watersport dealership, New Generation Mobility (NGM) is bringing electric outboard motors to Kuwait made by manufacturer ePropulsion. The motors have a really exciting new feature called ‘hydrogenation’, which is the motor’s ability to act as a generator when towed in the water which actually charges the battery.
NGM has been building a culture in Kuwait that invites everyone to enjoy life on the sea without destroying the environment. The ePropulsion outboard motors are intuitive and easy to use, additionally they’re also quiet and require no maintenance on your side. With the pleasant weather now upon us, it is the perfect opportunity to get out on the water, but with a more sustainable approach in mind.
What’s also really special about these motors is the sound factor. ePropulsion electric outboard motors are super quiet, meaning that those fishing trips that you spend a lot of time planning with your friends are all the more successful because you won’t be spooking out the fish with a loud boat motor.
The company has three motors currently on offer; The Spirit Evo 1.0, The Navy 3.0 (6 hp) and the Navy 6.0 (9.9 hp). The Spirit Evo 1.0 boasts a 3hp engine. It is portable and is made for dinghies, fishing boats, smaller sailboats and tenders. It features a 1276Wh large integrated lithium battery for long range trips. It’s nimble, lightweight, and offers clean power to take you wherever you need to go. Once you are done, you can quickly remove it from the boat and stow it away in your car.
There are two models available from the Navy Series. The motors are bigger, more powerful and more suited for larger boats, perfect for longer trips for this boating season! Considered as the backbone of ePropulsion electric outboard motors, the Navy Series is highly popular and perfect for local boating enthusiasts. The motors can be mounted on aluminum fishing boats, dinghies, daysailers and cruising sailboats, suitable for saltwater and freshwater. Thanks to the more efficient direct-drive technology which doesn’t require the use of any gears or belts to convert energy into motion, the Navy electric outboard boat motor is quiet, maintenance-free, and reliable. Lucky for you, NGM offers two different versions; a 6hp and a 9.9hp motor, so you can choose the one that works better for your boating requirements.
ePropulsion motors are also intuitive and easy to use. All motor models come fitted with a digital display that offers real-time monitoring of the power usage, remaining runtime, battery levels, voltage, and much more so you can make the right adjustments based on the requirements of your trip. Press the Start button and you’re ready to go which saves you the trouble of pulling the cord to start. The magnetic kill switch works as an emergency stop key for ePropulsion electric outboards so you know that you will be safe on the boat. The Max Power Output is adjustable so ePropulsion electric boat motors are kid-friendly and suitable for rental boats. You can also turn the throttle easily from either the left-hand or right-hand side so you can manage it whether you are right-handed or left-handed.
The oceans and seas are not just our playground, they are home to many other species and living organisms and we need to be respectful of that. Switching to an ePropulsion motor means that we can enjoy our time out on the water without ruining the beautiful Arabian Gulf so sea life and future generations can too.
