My addiction to chocolate and desserts and there not being a place here that provided what we were looking for, plus the encouragement of family and friends.

Creating new menu items for the restaurant. It is always fun when your job lets you eat a lot of chocolate everyday!
Q: Where is your favorite place to shop for food and ingredients in Kuwait?
Sultan and Saveco for basics. Local farms like Sadeer and Yasmin for fresh produce.

Chocolate chip cookies, it’s an everyday essential when you have an American mother.
Q: When you want to go somewhere else to eat, where do you go and why?
My sister Mariam’s house because her food is unusual, delicious and completely different from my style of cooking. But recently, too spicy – hint hint…
Q: Who in the world would you most like to cook for?
There is no one I would really like to cook for, but I would really like it if my children would all agree on what meals they liked or disliked to make my life easier.

Butternut squash, brown sugar and beetroot.
