What experience most defined your decision and desire to get into the food industry?
The happiness from ice cream that brings out everyone’s inner child. Because ice cream can be
there to celebrate your birthday, cheat day, and always helps you feel better (emotionally and sometimes physically). Whenever you reward yourself with ice cream, it then becomes rewarding to us.
Where is your favorite place to shop for food and ingredients in Kuwait?
Current favorite is SaveCo, especially because they offer a supervised play area for kids so we can shop in peace.
What food most reminds you of your mother’s house, and why?
Maqlouba (with chicken and eggplants) because it’s the closest thing to a cake on the lunch table.
When you want to go somewhere else to eat, where do you go and why?
When the temperature drops, I find myself going to Pattaya at Diwaliya Complex for a no-fuss authentic Thai experience.
Who in the world would you most like to cook for?
Anyone who’s hungry! I prefer baking over cooking
If you were to leave Kuwait and could take only one kitchen gadget with you, what would it be?
My Kitchen-Aid because it beats the cookie dough (and anyone who tries to lick it), kneads the bread (and needy people), and whips (sometimes even Nae-naes)
