Q: What experience most defined your decision and desire to get into the food industry?
My inability to stop eating as well as my tendency to base all life decisions on food.
Q: What do you love the most about your current job?
Bringing people back into the kitchen and closer to their food, it’s amazing to help people with the gift of cooking.
Q: Where is your favorite place to shop for food and ingredients in Kuwait?
I’m obsessed with Korean food, so Singarea is definitely up there, and I love the specialty produce farms like Sadeer and Kenayana produce.
Q: What food most reminds you of your family’s house, and why?
Peeking duck and samboosek. We usually have quite a mix of things on the table every family lunch.
Q: When you want to go somewhere else to eat, where do you go and why?
Thai is my go to in Kuwait. There’s a lot to choose from, and they know how to bring the spice.
Q: Who in the world would you most like to cook for?
The Chopped judges.

I think we’ll see more plant-based eateries open up.
