Who knew that instead of buying loads of different detergents in all those plastic bottles you could just invest in one item, use water, add ordinary table salt and be just as effective at cleaning? Some of you may remember the school science experiment where you drop a battery into a beaker of salt water, where it degrades and produces Hydrogen gas and Oxygen gas? The reaction, similar to a chlorine and water reaction, also turns the water into a weak acid which can be used as a sanitizer for all sorts of surfaces. This is electrolyzed or EO water.
Electro-Chemical Activation (ECA) has been around for decades for industrial uses, but only recently has it become available for use in your home. A spokesperson for the Egret-EO Balster V2 distributor United ATAK General Trading Co. confirms that they are a company which prides itself on being innovative and avant garde, importing new products to Kuwait which are different and fresh to the market. The Egret-EO Blaster V2 matches this ethos perfectly.
“A team led by Jack Chen, founder of Egret Labs with more than 20 years of experience with EO industrial cleaning and sanitation, started developing and prototyping his concept for a natural, nontoxic alternative to cleaning products in 2018.”

The active patented device is housed in a handy 800ml sized, ergonomically designed spray bottle. The size means the bottle is not too heavy to hold while providing enough solution to spray over a large surface area without refilling. The process is really simple. Add a measure of salt using the spoon provided to water, switch on and in only 1 minute the Egret-EO Blaster V2 electrode will get the work done. The charger is included and you can produce three different levels of electrolyzed water.
This is the good stuff that is 100% natural, non-toxic, safe for kids and pets and yet sterilizes and deodorizes surfaces, removes pesticides, and deodorizes the air! You can use level 1 on produce and level 3 is strong enough for bathrooms. Plus the electrode has an estimated life expectancyof 3 years when used three times a day, which is a whopping 2400ml of cleaning solution daily. Imagine all the shelf space you save, plus you’ll be doing your bit for the planet by reducing your need for single-use plastics with this one time purchase spray bottle.
“EO water created by Egret is as effective as any cleaning product, and it’s totally natural, so it won’t harm your skin or aggravate your allergies.”

You can just as effectively use the Egret-EO Blaster V2 on a carpeted surface as a tiled one, you can use it on your car and it is even safe to use on your fruit and vegetables. Just rinse before eating.
This is a great comfort these days when you don’t know if the person touching the produce you’re bringing into your home has been diligently observing COVID-19 health and safety precautions. Other bacteria that get 99.9% away according to certification includes E Coli, Staphylococcus and black mold.
“EO water treatment could be used as an effective method for reducing microbial contamination on different surfaces.”

Fine particles which can be inhaled by humans and animals exacerbating issues with asthma, heart attack, bronchitis and other respiratory problems get blasted with use this by eliminating PM2.5 air pollution. In Kuwait where the Air Quality Index rarely indicates low levels of PM2.5, this is a further level of protection for you.
Another advantage of using the Egret-EO Blaster V2 is that you know exactly what liquid is in it. As we have our homes, offices, and shared space areas sprayed down, what chemical is it that the disinfecting companies are using? We have no way of truly knowing what it is, how it’s been tested, or if there will be any health ramifications with use discovered down the line. At least we do know about electrolyzed water and how safe as well as effective it is.
“It was found that electrolyzed water has the potential to reduce the environmental impact and improve the safety in the work environment in comparison with the typical cleaning/sanitizing products, as well as it can be more economic over the long term.”

Two of us decided to try out the Egret in the office, and both have decided it is super easy to use! The backlight of the power button tells you if you need to charge up; white you’re good to go, orange you should probably charge it and red it’s got less than 10% charge. The cable is provided and fits into the port hidden at the end of the handle, with a silicone cover to stop anything like dust getting inside when not being charged. There is no wall plug provided to use with the cable but you can charge from any USB port, or add your own.
We added tap water and some regular table salt using the measuring spoon provided. We switched on the Egret and immediately saw bubbles of activity showing that something was happening. We lost track of how long the Egret had been on but did notice when it switched itself off which was about 13 minutes later. As the strongest EO water is developed at 9 minutes we were good to start spraying down everything in sight. I had filled the bottle to the indicated maximum amount which is 800ml. I followed the instructions of where this level 3 of EO water was good to spray and sprayed down furniture, bean bags, shelves, desks, bathrooms, and the kitchen. Hardly anything had been used up from the water well even though I felt like I’d been spraying loads! The spray is so fine and powerful that you get excellent coverage with only a small usage of milliliters.
The only thing we weren’t certain of is if we just “spray and leave”. Because we were using it for the first time and unsure of how to take aim and spray evenly, we were leaving a wet surface as opposed to a finely sprayed surface, but we decided it was better to let the surfaces dry naturally, rather than wipe down. With the water well completely full to the maximum, the Egret did get a little heavy after I’d been spraying for a while. I think that because it was so much fun to use, I probably used it for much longer trying it out than I normally would use it every day as I get used to the novelty of the Egret. There was a slight chlorine smell to the EO water that only one of my colleagues objected to, and that’s most likely because she was sitting at the desk we were spraying at the time.
There is some aftercare for the Egret. Once you’re done for the day empty out the water well, as EO water is only effective for a few hours anyway, so there’s no point keeping it. Then also empty out the barrel by pressing the spray trigger until nothing is coming out. Other than these steps the whole thing is easy to use, and a good consideration if you no longer want to buy single-use plastic bottles nor use chemicals that could be harmful. I certainly had no concerns when I got some EO water spray wash on my skin but had it been anything else I was cleaning with, I would have wanted to wash my skin immediately. The Egret EO Blaster V2 seems safe, simple to use, and is bazaar approved!
