The two businesses founded by Fai Al-Ibraheem truly complete and complement each other. From True where unique flower arrangements are gifted, and True De Paris is where you’ll find fine jewelry crafted with care. The brands both represent the essence of natural beauty, which is something Fai certainly feels strongly about. When we met with her, she showed us what she is passionate about and how filled with beauty it is.
Fai was looking for a meaning that is mainly related to beauty, one word that will deliver the message of her brands as she says “While I was holding the dictionary actually, and I was googling the definitions of beauty I found the word true. So, the definition was what is beautiful is real and true, and what is true is real and beautiful.” True was the word that brought the two businesses from an idea to the real world.
Ever since she was young, Fai was always curious about the types of flowers, their colors, their scents, and which flower looks perfectly arranged with the other one. She’s in love with simplicity, and that is clearly seen within her floristry business. The whole idea lies in arrangements and the way it is gifted. For example, Fai does not like using fake flowers or even vases, and she has come to the realization that people are liking the method she uses, which is arranging the flowers on pieces that can be re-used differently, be it a lantern, a candle holder, a cake plate, or a mirror! “I’m working on so many ideas that people can benefit from later on,” she says.
Not only that, but Fai also applies the same concept of simplicity in her jewelry brand, True De Paris. She wanted her jewelry pieces to basically present themselves without any extra additions, to make a statement of their own as real diamonds should do. The flexibility that lies in each and every piece, such as rings that you can wear on all of your fingers and tennis bracelets by managing to keep it casual yet chic is an art form itself.
What’s even more interesting is that plenty of Fai’s personality is seen in her businesses. Every piece of jewelry she wears, and every flower arrangement she arranges is cared for with the same level of detail and care. She adores diamonds because they are raw and real, as she says “A diamond cut is something really sensitive, how it is cut, shaped, it has purity and a shine that attracts your eye, so again we go back to beauty,” and to her, “Flowers are the accessory of life.”
As Fai continues to produce beauty whether it is in the form of natural flowers, or splendid diamonds, hers will never fade away. The fusion of both brands is an admirable accomplishment and being able to create and express these beautiful messages to the people represents the essence that less is more.
