Natural Dyes on Wool – Hand Dyeing Workshop, as part of a series of Textile Arts Workshops with Ceyda Oskay.
Students will learn how to process and dye handspun 100% natural wool.
Students will take home skills they can easily use to dye their own wool in various colors.
The course is open to all, including artists, environmentalists, scientists, men and women, and does not have an age limit.
Time: 6pm – 7:30 pm Sunday, December 20 & 6pm – 7:30 pm Tuesday December 22 (two session course).
Place: Sadu House, Gulf Road (next to the National Museum) see http://www.alsadu.org.kw/index2.html for directions, the Sadu House is located on the Gulf Road, after the roundabout near the Grand Mosque, in between the National Library of Kuwait, and Kuwait National Museum and Planetarium. Prepare to make a U-turn at the next turn, after you see a turn that is blocked.
Other courses on Natural Dyes on wool (2 day course), Pattern Design on Fabric (6 day course), Printing on Fabric (TBC), and Linoleum Printmaking (TBC), Shibori Japanese Tie-Dye Level 2 (1 day course) will also be offered on future dates.
