Founded in Italy in 1982 by graphic designer Massimo Osti, the label was then sold to Carlo Rivetti in 1993. Rivetti went on to instill a tradition of research and experimentation, always striving for uniqueness in design and integrity in production. Year after year, investigations into transforming and emphasizing fibers and fabrics are constantly in motion, leading to the discovery and production of new techniques. Stone Island is a pioneer in the field of innovative sportswear, using materials and production techniques that have never been used before in the clothing industry.
In celebrating its 30th anniversary collection, Rivetti revived the company’s archives, blending in references from military gear and work-wear with lighter fabrics and new materials.
