Update: We had a blast attending the opening on September 13! Read our review of the store’s key features, from Beauty to Home, here.
If you love H&M and cannot get enough of the numerous stores in Kuwait, then get ready ’cause the Avenues will be host to the world’s largest H&M on September 13 starting at 12pm.
Yes, you read right, the WORLD’S LARGEST!
Spanning more than 7,000 sqm, the store will be located in the First Avenue and will have a completely unique look such as a striking marble façade, giant digital screens on the outside, to real foliage walls and a stunning feature staircase on the inside.
In addition, customers looking for a moment to relax during their shopping, they can visit the chill-out lounge, set aside from the shop floor, which will feature comfy seating for them to enjoy a break in.
Another exciting feature to look forward to is the ‘Click & Collect’ lounge. This omni-channel shopping experience will allow customers to shop at hm.com, from inside the store.
Say what!?
You will be able to place orders directly with the assistance of staff members, or yourself using H&M iPads in the Click & Collect lounge.
There’s also a new Beauty Department that features Hollywood-style vanity mirrors and make-up artist chairs and also a new H&M fragrance collection.
H&M will also have an expanded Home section – beautifully designed collections will come to life in aspirational room-set displays, allowing customers to shop fashion for their home with greater inspiration. A special monogramming service will allow home fashions to become personalized. Yup, you can get everything from bathrooms to cushions embroidered with whatever you want!
For kids, there is a permanent entertainment area awaiting them on the first floor, where they can have fun and play while the adults shop. There will be a free cinema, showing the latest cartoons and films, along with virtual reality car simulators.
The store will open its doors on the same day as the global launch of H&M’s Fall Fashion ladieswear collection – extensively covered in our October issue (read the full story here).
What’s more, customers will be able to have their clothes tailored in the fitting rooms, for the first time in H&M Middle East.
