The Conscious Exclusive Spring 2019 collection is the perfect mix of glamour and effortless style. Inspired by the wonders of planet Earth, the collection explores the healing power and beauty of nature, while also embracing technology and innovation in the development of more sustainable materials and processes for a more sustainable fashion future.
The Conscious Exclusive collection is filled with stylish pieces to be worn for special occasions, but also for more relaxed everyday moments. Dramatic details such as ruffles, uneven hems, cut-outs, voluminous silhouettes, deep v-necklines and sparkling sequins are balanced by sporty details such as drawstrings, elasticated waistbands and cuffs. Bold prints inspired by plants and trees are major features and the colour palette is inspired by healing crystals with colours like lavender, aqua blue, petrol blue and coral pink along with black, gold and silver.
The different prints and fabrics throughout the collection can also be beautifully mixed, such as the coral pink organic silk blouse with bell sleeves matched sand and black straight-leg Azurite trousers in recycled polyester. Ruffled maxi-skirts with tight-fitting knit tops, coordinating head-to-toe printed looks, suiting and shimmering sequinned dresses round out the looks.
With its mix of shiny silver natural leather alternative Piñatex® and colourful jacquards, the silver jacket is a statement-maker, pair with the matching jacquard skirt and cowboy boots for maximum effect. Amongst all the floaty, voluminous silhouettes stands the new fashion staple – the designed pool slide. They ground any look with a laidback vibe, but also inject a little fun with its oversized bow.
The Conscious Exclusive collection always features new innovative materials and new materials for this season are; Piñatex, BLOOM Foom and Orange Fiber. Piñatex is natural leather alternative made from cellulose fibres extracted from pineapple leaves. BLOOM Foam is a plant-based flexible foam using algae biomass from freshwater sources at high risk of algal bloom. Orange Fiber is made from citrus juice by-products, repurposing them to create silk-like cellulose fabric. Other sustainable materials are recycled polyester, organic cotton, organic linen, organic silk, TENCEL, recycled plastic, recycled glass and recycled silver.
The H&M Conscious Exclusive collection will be available in 1st Avenue – The Avenues and online starting April 11th. For more information, visit kw.hm.com.
