However, the velvet tuxedo jacket with the matching wide-legged trousers is one of our most coveted items; and can quickly be transformed from a working lunch outfit to something we want to party in all night. And for the uber-glamorous woman, the glittering sequined body-suit is a must-have. We are also going to stock up on the natural pearl hair- slides that work with absolutely everything.
DIVIDED HOLIDAY 2019 COLLECTION FOR EASY DAY-TO-NIGHT ALLURE
Be the focus of any gathering with outfits that are full of shimmering silver, trimmed with sequins, and accented with vibrant neons. There’s no need to be shy, embrace your inner attention-lover in these high-voltage day-to-night essentials. A silver jumpsuit may signal after-hours elegance, but paired with a cozy fur jacket, it can work for daylight moments, too. Likewise, a faux-leather skirt ticks off both style and substance boxes: by day, add a cozy ribbed knit; come dusk, amp up the drama with a silver spangled top.
“We know our customers like to mix their statement evening pieces with cosy wardrobe staples such as denim and loungewear, so every piece in this Holiday collection has been designed to work around the clock. The best thing about fashion now is that there are no rules: from adventurous punches of neon to considered splashes of sequins, anything goes, at any time of day or night,” says Emily Björkeheim, H&M’s Head of Divided Design.
The collection’s key pieces all pull double duty: a shaggy faux fur jacket promises day- and-night versatility, comprising the perfect partner for denim jeans as well as a cut-to- flatter velvet embellished mini dress. Then there’s the varsity sweaters partnered with lounge-worthy cargo pants that only require a sneaker-to-stiletto switch to take things disco- appropriate. And don’t overlook the bygone charms of a friendship sweater set, which comes in a cozy cotton two-pack, so you can offer one to your best friend.
FESTIVE CLASSICS GET AN ELEVATED MAKEOVER FOR MENSWEAR HOLIDAY 2019 COLLECTION
Menswear can be boring but at H&M Men, getting your holiday look on lockdown is easy and simple. It is all about options. Take a moment to relax in the warm embrace of luxurious heritage knits, cozy parkas and traditional checked flannel PJs. Then, as the celebration season gets underway, give party- dressing its groove back courtesy of super- slick suiting and considered flashes of animal print and paisley.
“Each piece in H&M’s holiday menswear collection has been designed to strengthen your sense of personal style. So, whether you’re embarking on cold weather adventures or looking forward to taking on the party circuit, there’s a jacquard reindeer-printed argyle sweater or a beautifully-cut inky black tuxedo jacket to suit your every holiday whim,” says Ross Lydon, H&M’s Head of Menswear Design.
Chase away wintry chills with the collection’s key pieces: a vintage-hued, denim trucker jacket with a cozy collar makes a neat match with a traditional buffalo checked shirt for outdoor days. As darkness falls, a slim- cut, inky black tuxedo jacket over an opulent paisley-printed shirt will pack a visual punch, while patterned loafers promise attitudinal after-dark allure – consider them an accent piece that will enliven a polished leather biker jacket or add an edge to a charcoal checked suit.

The most magical time of the year calls for glorious amounts of glitz. Don’t hold back: the emphasis at H&M Kids is about unleashing the imagination via intergalactic travels and princess moments. But it’s not all shimmering sequins and glitter. Holiday staples in cozy tartan and soft wool also have a part to play.
“Our focus at H&M is always on firing up the imagination of our young customers with fun motifs – this year, we’ve got llamas, unicorns, snowmen, robots and Frozen’s Princess Elsa in the mix. A sense of humor classifies everything in this joyful collection: even Santa’s beard is studded with sequins,” says Sofia Löfstedt, H&M’s Head of Kidswear Design.
Festive sweaters and pajama sets emblazoned with metallic robots and rockets will allow little ones to dream about all manner of wild and wonderful adventures. Dresses sporting layers of tulle and splashes of metallics are designed to stimulate fairy- tale fantasies. And tongue-in-cheek details only add to the fun: what could be sweeter than a collared shirt neatly embroidered with miniature snowmen and festive puddings, or a zip-up reindeer hoodie sporting little ears and antlers on the hood? Then there are the traditional holiday staples: rich tartans and checks appear on flannel shirts and leggings, while cozy jumpers and denim jackets sport starry patterns.
