Chilly evenings, or just before bed, there’s always a perfect time to have a delightful hot chocolate! And it almost always never comes in the same form.
You can change the cocoa variety, the kind of milk, the temperature, spices and additions like marshmallows and it will never fail to warm your heart.
Thanks to Kuwait’s booming coffee and tea culture, we’ve been blessed with a multitude of hot chocolate options at local businesses and franchises.
Without further ado, here’s our ultimate hot chocolate Kuwait list!
The Chocolate Bar
We have to start the list by paying our respects to the Kuwait OG of chocolate – The Chocolate Bar! Many of us have grown up in Kuwait with fond memories of their Hot Chocolate and some of us newbies have added it to our favorites. You can even get it mixed with vanilla or chocolate ice cream to make it an Italian Hot Chocolate!
Starbucks
We can’t not mention Starbucks‘ crowd-pleasing hot chocolate! And add the whipped cream please!
CAF Cafe
Fluffy marshmallows? Yes please CAF! The recent addition of Hot Chocolate to CAF’s exceptional hot drinks is a must try!
Cocoa Room
Says it in the name! The Cocoa Room are masters when it comes to concocting their hot chocolate. They have a whole section dedicated to it. When you see the words “Mayan Hot Chocolate” you know you are getting the good stuff!
Canteen by BROTHERS
This hot chocolate comes with shaved chocolate pieces on top that melt on contact with the hot drink!
PAUL Bakery, Patisserie, Café and Restaurant
We’ve known PAUL is an excellent choice for soups, sandwiches and fresh bread, but did you know that the PAUL Hot Chocolate is one of their signatures? Be sure to order it the next time you visit.
Richard’s Coffee Bar
We love Richard’s Coffee Bar so it’s not surprising that their hot chocolate is top notch!
Caribou Coffee
Little known fact – Caribou Coffee has amazing hot chocolate! What makes it special? It’s the dark chocolate chip toppings that balance the sweetness!
Sleepy Camel
Hear us out! Camel milk goes supremely well with chocolate and the baristas at Sleepy Camel at Soapbox, Promenade Mall have cracked the formula. Who wouldn’t want a creamier and richer hot chocolate?
J’s Bakery
J’s Bakery is well-known for their vegan goodies, but did you know that their hot chocolate it completely vegan as well? You can of course make any of the above hot chocolates vegan by substituting the milk with a non-dairy version. But at J’s, the dark chocolate is vegan, as is the organic coconut sugar!
The Hub
Besides being a wonderful gallery and space for the community, The Hub has an excellent cafe! And now for a limited time period, they are collaborating with Mishaal Al-Enizi and cotton candy company Spun Sprinkles to bring a unique take on hot chocolate, with additions like Very Berry, White Mango and Avocado!
