Fave ice cream to enjoy at home: The KDD Ice cream Sandwich from our friendly neighborhood baqala. It is small and I can enjoy more than one, guilt-free. The cookie is the perfect texture and it has an intense chocolatey flavor that is perfectly balanced with the vanilla ice cream.
Fave ice cream spot to visit: The Haagen-Daz in Souq Sharq. I almost always order a scoop of Belgian Chocolate and a scoop of Pralines & Cream usually in a cone so I can enjoy it while taking a walk outside and watching boats and the Kuwait City skyline.

Fave ice cream to enjoy at home: This depends on the mood I’m in, but KDD vanilla always goes down well. If I’m feeling flush then Baskin and Robbins pralines and caramel is delicious. I’ve never bought it here because it’s so expensive but Häagen Dazs vanilla is the best in the world, because it’s my Dad’s favorite.
Fave ice cream spot to visit: I don’t really eat ice cream “out”, as it tends to be a very solo adventure at home with a quart and a spoon which somehow seems unacceptable socially but the last time I did was 2013 at the Italian Gelato place in Al Hamra mall and it was awesome.

Fave ice cream to enjoy at home: Ben & Jerry’s if I can get my hands on some (salted caramel or chocolate chip cookie dough…yum!) But I know I can always rely on anything chocolate from London Dairy or KDD!
Fave ice cream spot to visit: While I don’t really “go out” for ice cream that often, I can’t resist good

Fave ice cream to enjoy at home: ALL of KDD’s ice cream flavors. Ever since I was a kid, leaving school, inside the house, or at grandma’s, and I hear the shouting melody of the man with KDD’s ice cream kart calling us out, there’s always a rush of adrenaline to get there first, climb on the wheels (I was too short back then to take a look inside) and depending on the mood, pick the flavor of the day!
Fave ice cream spot to visit: World of Ice Cream on Baghdad Street in Salmiya. It’s the coolest and yummiest shop, and they offer awesome flavors. It’s perfect for a quick ice cream stop at the end, or the start of any day, literally, it’s just that refreshing.

Fave ice cream to enjoy at home: Whenever I’m feeling fancy, I head to Marks & Spencer and stock up on the classic little tubs of Vanilla clotted cream ice cream. Yes, it’s overpriced, but when the craving strikes, I basically go blind stock up on as many as I can find. For ordering in, it has to be from the Urban Creamery. Their corn flakes ice cream is nostalgic, and hits the spot, every single time.
Fave ice cream spot to visit: Once again, if I am feeling fancy, I like to get the full-on pampering treatment at Rococoa. Their fully-fledged ‘Ice Creamery’ is an indulgent experience from start to end. From choosing the different flavors (their salted caramel is heavenly) to the toppings, and watching them assemble it all together is just a spectacle to behold. I also love Scoop-A-Cone in Salmiya because it’s right down the street from where I both live and work, and it never fails me. Now if I can close my eyes and fantasize about my favorite ice cream spot to visit anywhere in the world, it would have to be any Amorino stand I could find. YUM.
