Summer is the season of sea, flipflops and sleeping in. It is also the season when our children roll their eyes the most to tell us how bored they are! The long, unstructured days of summer can leave even the most curious and resourceful child feeling like they have too much time on their hands. And while we would all love to spend the entire three months of summer lazing around on a beach on the Mediterranean, road-tripping in the USA or museum hopping in Europe, reality bites.

The next best alternative to living a life of luxury and eternal summer vacations for kids? Summer camps! They’re the best of both worlds with the structure of a school day, interaction with other children but it is still a laid-back, no homework environment. It also tuckers them out, so when bedtime comes around, the little ones are sleepy-eyed angels.

We know that parents all over Kuwait are going to let out a collective sigh of relief when they find out what KidZania’s Summer Camp is offering this year. We know there are tens, if not hundreds, of summer camps available, but we still think that KidZania’s is “kooler” than everyone else. Planned around seven thousand square meters of fun, the kids have a lot of space to roam and enjoy themselves trying out different professions and jobs just like a real, grown-up economy.

We’ve never heard a child leave KidZania to complain of crowds or boredom. And there is absolutely no worrying about the weather. The indoor setting guarantees that the extreme summer heat or surprise dust storms will not stop the little ones from having a great day.

Parents with more than one child find it difficult to send their children to a themed camp if both kids are not interested in the same things and things can become even more difficult if they were to send them to a generic camp where both of them will be bored. KidZania are also offering very flexible packages. Kids can register for a day, a week, two weeks or three weeks. So you can work around any other family obligations or traveling that you might be doing during the summer. Your children will be learning all about building self-esteem, developing their sense of imagination and creativity, to enhancing their communications and social skills regardless of how many days they eventually decide to attend the camp.

While the program is designed for children aged five to twelve, toddlers (2-4 years old) have their own area, where they can enjoy different physical and mental activities that are set to aid development of their motor, creative, social and movement skills, all whilst embarking on a fun exploration journey.

The Kidzania Summer Camp runs from the 24th of June until the 16th of August.. And, unlike many other summer camps in Kuwait that only have a three-hour day, the day starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm. Lunch is included, so your little ones won’t be too hungry to have fun either. Here’s another added bonus: the kids can stay after camp for free play time!
