The dining experience in Kuwait is one of a kind in the region. Visitors from around the world continue to be impressed by the country’s selection and creativity with food. As a culinary expert once said, even fast food tastes good here.
The country has made its mark in the global dining market by becoming the first stop international destination for expanding restaurants from Europe and America. What’s more, local businesses have delighted foodies with creative concepts, unique eats and bold flavors. Make no mistake, if you want good food in the Gulf, Kuwait is the place to be.
Which is why the organizers at Q8 Production Media & Events have come together to create what will most likely become one of the greatest annual food events in the region, the Q8 Food Festival. They will take over the Kuwait International Fairgrounds in Mishref from March fifth to the seventh to bring you the most complete dining event to happen in Kuwait, and bazaar is proud to be their main media sponsor.
With more than 50,000 attendants expected, the fairgrounds will be packed with events, experiences and markets. Organizers have focused on bringing the most interesting food concepts to one place, to give attendees a taste of the best of Kuwait. Approximately 50 restaurants will be featured at the event, and will be given the opportunity to highlight two or three of their most sought-after and signature dishes. Participants will have the chance to taste the best of Kuwait in a fun-filled setting.
On the main stage, artists will feature their amazing musical talents. Local bands will serenade the country’s foodies with live jazz, local and classical music. As we go on our culinary journey through Kuwait’s food establishments we’ll travel around the world with both Arabic and English music.
If you are looking for a taste of something personal, you can head to the Farmer’s Market. Local chefs, bakers and crafters will display their creations, and will have their chance to win your taste buds over. These homemade bakes and delights will give you the chance to try unique creations straight from the baker’s home to your palate.
For those that fancy themselves to be more than a foodie, but a creator of your own culinary delights, the Celebrity Chef presentations (available in Arabic or English) are bound to tickle your inner chef. Two tents will feature a full line-up of local regional and internationally renowned celebrity chefs. Enjoy the fruits of the festival in your own kitchen even after the event is over through presentations and participatory cooking demonstrations.
The Q8 Food Festival is designed to entertain both adults and children, with plenty of activities for the young foodie in your family. Bring them to the Kid’s Zone area where they too can taste delights made especially for children. The event will also feature a host of games and activities to keep them entertained while you enjoy the delectable tastes of Kuwait.
