We want you to recycle. We ask you to in every issue!
But before you do, why not have a little fun with your old magazines? Our cover is never plastered with headlines. Because we are classy like that. And because we work really hard finding the best visuals, any one of them would make wonderful wall art.
Now, if you have a little more time and energy there are a lot of things that you can do with our colorful pages. We know for a fact that the magazine is art-teacher approved! Collages are an interesting way to deconstruct and construct things creatively. The best thing about it is that as an art form there is no right or wrong, [kkstarratings]and if you don’t like the results, cover it up and keep adding layers until you do.
We promise you it is not that hard, but if you are unsure where to start, consider taking a class. Yadawi regularly offers decopatch (aka découpage) classes that can inspire even the most craft-challenged person.

But wait, there is more!
We love giving gifts! Almost as much as getting them. It is all about presentation. People who tell you that it is the thought that counts are totally right. Which is why you need to think about wrapping a gift nicely and adding a bow. Especially when the bow is handmade, it is nice and polished but still says that you are unique and totally ok with stepping out of the box.

Or you could make beads. It is a lot easier than it looks, but it can be a messy and sticky endeavor. All you need to do is cut the pages into strips, dip them in glue and roll them on a lollipop stick or anything round and small to make sure the hole keeps it shape. Rinse and repeat until you have enough. Make sure to wait until they are completely dry before trying to use them.

What do you get if you cross collages and beads?
Bead collages! We had no idea this was a thing. And we love it! The added texture makes them so much more fun and visually pleasing.

If your inner Monica is strong, make some coasters.

Origami is a great idea too! First of all, you don’t need glue or scissors. Just a flat surface for folding. Most of us have probably made paper airplanes and boats when we were still in school. Just Google “Origami” for thousands of models that range from very simple to complex 3D items that take days to complete.

Here is another throwback to your elementary school years: Woven items are very trendy at the moment. And with our high quality printing and colorfully saturated pages, you are bound to make something that stands out on your desk. You can start with flat things like coasters or place-mats and work your way up-to three dimensional objects like baskets and boxes.

Who knows? Maybe with a lot of practice, you will be making your own one-of-a-kind accessories. If you do, let us know because we love these little cases and they are above our skill level.
