The best tools and products are only as good as the person using them, which is why beautique cosmetics international invited Max Lamparter, the Label.m Global Educator for the second time in two consecutive years.
The company doesn’t just focus on bringing the best products and brands to the region, but also ensuring that the specialists who will be using them have the right skills they need to make the best use of them.
Lamperter was here to share his hair expertise with a specially selected group of salons and their stylists. Label.m is the only official London Fashion Week brand and a pioneer in cutting-edge styles and new products.
The company constantly shows us that there is still more to discover, learn, use and implement when it comes to hair and their products. This is why highlighting the vast array of products, and how to aptly utilize them in the local market is so important.
The intensive workshop is designed to provide participants with the maximum amount of knowledge possible. Two of the days were spent at TONI&GUY’s Al-Corniche location. Attendees learned how and when to use the different styling ranges, mixing and matching different products and the latest cutting methods.
They were also taught how to recreate the stunning looks from this year’s campaign Get The Look2 (squared) that was featured most recently in Dubai’s Professional Beauty GCC 2019.
Hair artistry is not a skill that comes easily, it is honed over years of mastering different techniques, experimenting with form and structures and breaking the mold of how hair can be pulled off for a wider range of expression. Training courses, workshops and seminars are an integral part of that process and arrive as a great place for people who work in the industry to learn from the experts and masters quickly.
Max started the first day strong. He cut the hair of three live models. Instead of going at his normal pace, he slowed down the tempo to show every angle of the process and reiterate each snip. He also spoke about the history of cutting, how it used to be done, how it has advanced and why.
The stylists were then each given a mannequin head and the choice of one of the three haircuts to create, but while still infusing it with their own style and signature. Stylists, after all, are artists and must remain true to their art.
Stylists from MH Salon, Fourth Ring Salon, Five Senses Salon and Mariam Sabhan Salon worked their magic on the mannequins. Bringing the inanimate heads to life by snipping, teasing, brushing and finishing the looks with their favorite Label.m sprays, waxes and resurrection dusts.
The second day was dedicated for the TONI&GUY stylists. Instead of working on mannequins, they chose models from their devoted clientele who were very eager and excited for the special cuts. The third and final day was devoted to the beautique cosmetics and salons staff at BT Offices. The focus was educating them on all of the Label.m products broken down into the 4 Cs; Cleanse. Condition. Create. Complete. It is a complete system to keeps hair healthy, shiny and protected.
All participants were given Certificates of Completion and a special Label.m goody bag. The event was sponsored by Tashi for catering, the Japanese Restaurant pushing the sushi standards as one of the cleanest, most modern, healthy eats in town.
