There’s nothing quite like a new pair of denims to get you excited about the new season, especially when cutesy denim skirts, paired with flouncy floral tops and timeless wide-leg jeans worn with easy cropped tops, are involved. Leave it to the good people at Monki to give us new season perfection in the form of their latest denim drop!
This February, Monki is releasing their latest denim campaign promoting new styles, as well as new ways to wear your favorite denim pieces. This season’s drop substitutes the classic white tee and fitted blue jeans – with bright organza blouses and unique denim details. We’re loving the dramatic contrast between the evening whimsy that we so easily associate with organza against the utilitarianism of denim, the result is such an inspiring reinvention of how to do denim. Let denim speak to your style, you can pair Monki’s Mom Jeans with the bright red Donna Shirt Jacket, or a structured top from your own personal collection—the possibilities are endless!
Key pieces include the asymmetric denim skirt that can be styled over straight leg jeans, for a back to the 90’s look. Coordinated sets and vintage fits are perfectly paired with feminine blouses. The entire collection of denim tones bursts to life with new shades of rust brown and blush pink to set the tone for the upcoming spring season. Our personal favorites from the collection include the Yoko Wide Leg in a light, almost acid blue wash, as well as the Rio Wide Leg that’s bound to become an everyday staple.
Don’t forget to accessorize your new denim wardrobe with Monki’s must-have pointy snake-skin boots, sparkly headbands, and of course, a trusted pair of Vans to complete your look (and any look for that matter!).
One of our favorite things about Monki’s latest denim drop however, is the brand’s continuous focus on sustainability. Since 2016, Monki’s entire denim range has been produced using only 100% organic cotton. And since 2018, all Monki’s cotton has been 100% sustainably sourced. This is all but a small step towards their ultimate goal to only use recycled or other sustainably sourced materials by 2030. So, in our books this drop scores double points on both style and sustainability.
The collection will be available starting mid-February. Monki is located in Grand Avenue-The Avenues. For more information on Monki follow them on Instagram @monki.
