P.F Chang’s has been around for 27 years and has left an impression on the entire world. An Asian concept founded on making food from scratch every day, P.F Chang’s was created in 1993 by Philip Chiang and Paul Fleming. P.F. Chang’s was also the first multi-unit restaurant concept in the U.S. to honor and celebrate the tradition of wok cooking.
Since inception, P.F. Chang’s chefs have been big on constructing every detail of the dishes they serve with love, as well as completely from scratch. That is what made them world-wide famous. “At P.F. Chang’s, we’re proud to make our food fresh, from scratch, every day at every restaurant around the world. Spread the joy!” – Phiip Chiang (cofounder).
Imitated by many, P.F. Chang’s is a pioneer in many things including their popular Dynamite Shrimp. The Original Dynamite Shrimp is a tempura- battered, tossed with a sriracha aioli delicious signature appetizer dish. Ever since the creation of this dish, there have been many replicas from the biggest chains, to smaller diners.
But, no one can do it quite like P.F. Chang’s. The new Grand Plaza- Avenues location is quite beautiful. With elegant modern seating that extends into the outdoor/indoor area, giving you an “outdoors” experience. With original art decor and wall art, this spot has an entirely sleek and unique feel to it. A must-visit for sure!
Today, P.F. Chang’s has 210+ restaurants in the U.S, plus over 95 restaurants in more than 25 countries across the globe. The famous Mongolian Beef is the ultimate perennial guest favorite. With Ingredients that include a deliciously sweet soy glaze, flank steak, garlic and snipped green onions, you can’t go wrong with this classic. This recipe is rooted from the Mongolian region of China and is all about being prepared with very balanced sauce.
Another one of P.F. Chang’s well known dishes is the Chang’s Chicken Lettuce Wraps (which is a secret Chiang family recipe). It is a delicious combination of chicken and other traditional ingredients prepared in the wok. It is then also served with fresh iceberg lettuce leaves to wrap with. A mouth-watering experience that you can only have at P.F. Chang’s locations. For the sushi lovers, take your pick from Shrimp Tempura rolls, to California rolls or Dynamite Shrimp rolls which are exclusive at P.F. Changs.
The highly in demand and iconic dishes of Dynamite Shrimp and Mongolian beef have become so popular, that the brand has now blessed us with the release of two similar dishes. The Mongolian Chicken and the Dynamite Chicken. The taste is just as impeccable as the classics but with a different meat, chicken! Layered with complex flavors that are artfully presented, you’re bound to see these on every table.
The Mongolian Chicken is prepared with the same traditional recipe from the Mongolian region of China. It includes thin slices of caramelized Chicken in a very balanced sauce that is also tossed with green onions. The Dynamite Chicken also remains true to the original recipe being tempura-battered and tossed with a delicious sriracha aioli sauce.
In P.F. Chang’s there are also many other beef, chicken, seafood and vegetarian options to select from. Making it a perfect place to take the family during your next dine in opportunity!
A new addition to the menu that was once a limited edition item is the Korean Surf and Turf plate. The dish is a delightful combination of delicious Bulgogi marinated ribeye steak and prawns which is then grilled and glazed with Teriyaki sauce. It is also served over caramelized Kimchi. Can you say delish?
bazaar was also pleasantly surprised on our latest trip to P.F. Chang’s to find out about their extraordinary drinks and dessert menu. On the menu, there is a variety of juices, mocktails, iced teas and coolers that come in carafes (which are glass containers that have no handles).
Aside from trying the new OG offerings of Dynamite Chicken and Mongolian Chicken, we also spiced things up (literally) by trying the Spicy Chengdu Beef and the Ring of Fire Shrimp.
For dessert, their absolute best seller is the Great Wall of Chocolate, which is a rich six layered chocolate cake, served with fresh strawberries and sauce.
P.F. Chang’s is the place to be with your family and friends while enjoying spectacular flavors that won’t be found elsewhere. So, on your next trip make sure you indulge in their new menu items and enjoy some of your favorite Asian inspired foods.
