Established in 2018, Rapture is a self-funded Kuwaiti fashion brand focusing on timeless statement accessories that are not specified for any age or gender, being what you wear speaks for you. It’s Rapture’s priority that every product is handmade in Kuwait by using recycled material and vegan leather. Currently, Rapture has gained a reputation for its eye-grabbing vibrant colors, which began with their minimalistic yet not so simple Signature Cardholder. The cardholder’s large tag is the character of the statement piece and became the brand’s essence.
Ensuring to spread INTENSE HAPPINESS to those who have it and those who have been attracted by it. The great minds behind the brand are Dana Almutauri and Ghala Alhajri, young intrapreneurs. Coming from two different worlds, Dana an architectural designer and Ghala a marketing major with a business perspective, were joined together for their love of fashion that bloomed into visions and dreams. When reality struck the two friends, Rapture was born. However, that was only the start of it all.
Rapture’s product line has now expanded to feature not only accessories, but also bags and apparel. Their accessories include a variety of neck-straps, key chains, and phone cases, which either attach to their Signature Cardholder or match by design. The latest t-shirt is part of Rapture’s Individuals line, which is based on local artists’ collaborations showcasing Kuwaiti talent.
Named as the “Friends & Family T-shirt” illustrated by Jannah Almuqaisib, representing Rapture as more than your favorite local brand but rather the owners’ view of their customers as a community supporting Rapture’s values. It is safe to assume that Rapture not only aims to provide nonseasonal collective statement pieces, but rather is built on a vision, mission, and values portrayed in the products.

During 2020, when businesses were struggling economically, Rapture took on the challenge to flourish. Initiated by the drop of the Statement Mask with compliance of COVID-19 regulations and considered an environmentally friendly choice by reducing disposable masks. Following the decision of putting INTENSE HAPPINESS on Kuwait’s map, after three years of online-based business.
Midst of October 2020, Rapture opened its doors for a soft opening in the heart of Kuwait City, neighboring the historical Mubarakiya. One of the main reasons for the store’s launch, officially occurring in January 2021, is to interact and socialize with their customers.
