Sometimes, we all need a little something extra to take our love for the sea to a whole new level. Call it a shove, a little nudge, a push, or even a company that helps you explore the best that the deep blue sea has to offer. Imagine a company that delivers diving enthusiasts with the opportunity to go free swimming with sharks or even feeding them in the Bahamas, but also goes above and beyond in providing divers with one of the world’s most advanced training programs, RAID. That is what Captain Alharith Alateeqi, CEO of Manta Dive Kuwait, aims to do.
A bonafide seafarer, Captain Alharith knows a thing or two about adventure. His love for the sea extends past his career, as his passion for diving while living in Australia introduced him to RAID International. An internationally recognized SCUBA certification program, RAID International offers divers and diving professionals alike the opportunity to benefit from the state of the art training online to better improve divers’ skills. The education that divers receive is not limited to a one time educational program, or additional programs at more costs. RAID, on the other hand, adheres to encouraging divers to continue their education through an extremely thorough program that knows no short cuts and is considered as the world’s leading dive training program, as it provides divers knowledge and expertise from the industry leaders.
Captain Alharith currently leads the RAID office in Kuwait, along with longtime friend Captain Abdulrahman Alghanim as his partner in Qatar. Since their days as marine officers in Perth, Australia their life at sea and love for diving kept growing, and their dedication to the RAID training program stems from their personal experience. Captain Alharith admires how the RAID program provided an increased ability for students to learn any diving course through the RAID website, along with the assistance of RAID-certified instructors and dive centers, of course. By consistently updating their progress online, the RAID website facilitates the notion that students can study whenever, and wherever they wish.
Captain Alharith also told bazaar that the RAID program does not operate based on the notion of quick and speedy certification for divers, a common phenomenon at diving centers nowadays. This way, the actual diver training process is not compromised in any way. He said, “They are actually elevating the standards for the diving industry as a whole. As strict and stringent as this program seems, the flexibility in the training approach in terms of online progress tracking and online courses, is innovative in and of itself. What RAID brings to divers and diver centers alike is this advantage, and a higher quality of learning that is important to encourage a thriving diving industry in Kuwait and the Middle East.” Upon launching RAID in Kuwait and the Middle East last fall, Captain Alharith took it upon himself and his travel agency, Manta Dive Tours, to embark on a celebratory diving trip in the Red Sea, Egypt with RAID Marketing Director Terry Cummins.
Given his experience with Manta Dive Tours, Captain Alharith enjoys organizing unforgettable dives. This travel agency is run by divers, after all, and is geared toward like-minded divers and adventurers looking to experience something different. Because the company works closely with Thai Airways, dives in stunning locations in Asia, and worldwide for that matter, are super easy to organize.
Furthermore, we learned from Captain Alharith that the company has partnered up with Stuart Cove Dive in the Bahamas. Not only does Manta Dive Tours wish to better the quality of the diving industry in the Middle East with RAID International, they are also able to make it worth your while by offering divers to experience the trip of a lifetime.
