Fawzia Sultan Healthcare Network (FSHN) concluded yet another successful RunKuwait race in support of children with special needs for the ninth year on Saturday 23rd November. More than 2,600 participants had registered to the race to support one cause, raising awareness and funds towards the treatment of children with special needs. The RunKuwait initiative in its ninth year raised more than KD 40,000 which is estimated to provide more than 500 treatment sessions at no cost for the children. First, second and third place winners were awarded across different categories for the 5KM & 10KM race including, male and female. The serious athletes were able to complete the 10KM race distance within 32 minutes. The winners announced for the male category were Philip Ekwom (first place), followed by Husam Aleissa (second place) and Mohammad Montaser (third place). The winners announced for the female category were Dorra Alsebouei (first place), followed by Taiba Alnouri (second place) and Virginia Esteban Serrano (third place. The sports enthusiasts who opted for a shorter race distance, 5KM, were also awarded within the same categories. The first-place winners in the male category included, Ahmed Bakthe winners in the femary (first place), Omar Qanbar (second place) and Ahmed AlMana (third place). The winners in the female category included Asmaa Metawea (first place), Noura Adel (second place) and Shoug AlSabah (third place). Everyone who joined the race, whether to compete or simply support the cause, received their participation medal as they crossed the finish line and returned to the race village to join in the relaxing sports activities.
