Fashion on Wheels is exactly what it sounds like – a service that delivers a mobile boutique to the comfort of your own home, so that you don’t have to leave the house or deal with the inefficiencies of online shopping.

Hind Sanad, the creator and curator of the concept introduces this new style of shopping to us with gusto, and confidence. “I noticed that in Kuwait, people like having things delivered to them – you can get your food delivered, you can even have someone come to your house to do your nails, so why not a mobile boutique?”

Hind, a marketing genius in her everyday life, decided to use her spare time to create this innovative service, and it all started with an appreciation for style – and a truck. “I always liked casual style,” she smiles. “I’m not too flashy, and I like everyday, stylish items that are modern and trendy, yet timeless at the same time.” And so, with that passion, Hind turned into a buyer, curating pieces from nondescript suppliers abroad to display selections  of comfortable yet fashionable pieces that can be worn for any occasion.

“I loved the truck as soon as I found it, and I wish I was licensed to drive it,” she laughs. Fortunately, her truck driver Omar is equipped to handle the mobile boutique, and she accompanies him to every requested appointment she has, between the truck’s hours of operation: 5pm-10pm daily.

How can one get their hands on this mystical fashion truck? It’s easy as counting to three! All you have to do is contact Hind via Fashion on Wheels’ Instagram page, and she’ll come right over, truck in tow, park in an acceptable spot “we’re very resourceful, and respectful” she says of parking issues – and voila! A mini boutique for you to enjoy, complete with all necessary amenities.

The interior of the truck has been decked out with full-length mirrors, racks adorned with clothing, and of course, air conditioning. “The harsh summer season weather in Kuwait can make this a little challenging,” Hind laughs “But with the installed AC, customers can be comfortable taking their time roaming around the truck!”

Hind also rolls down the door of the truck to give you privacy to try items on, if you wish, or you could try them on in the comfort of your own home. “I want people to feel comfortable and relaxed enough to enjoy my collections and to take their time looking through them,” she says.

For local designers looking to create a pop-up station, Hind has you covered and will rent a section of the truck for you to display your items for sale. Hind has hosted different local outlets in the truck, some of whom include Walkin Closet Boutique, ByAudreys and Mougah, to name a few of participants from the extensive list on Fashion on Wheel’s resume.

And since the weather is cooling down, be sure to keep an eye out for Hind and her truck at future events. She has frequented events in the past, and raves about the exposure she gets when participating as a vendor. Rode Rush Market, Food Truck Fest, The High Street, Richard’s Coffee and The Yard are other events where she has appeared, just to give you a taste as to where you can expect to see her with her goods again.
