It’s the most delicious time of the year, and it’s almost here! (Or, it’s at least on its way.) That’s right, it’s November, which means that The Taste of Q8 is right around the corner! Only five months to go till we’re filling our bellies with the delicious delicacies decorating the aisles of Marina Crescent, where the event is set to take place for the second year in a row.
Last year’s Taste of Q8 was an unforgettable experience. Three days filled with food, fun, entertainment and more, made for a truly perfect weekend activity to indulge in, and we do mean indulge! We ate, laughed, watched great chefs teach us how to make some incredible, mouthwatering dishes, and of course – lounged in our bazaar sponsored Shisha lounge, partnered with the mystical Meduse shisha pipes, provided by Ibis Hotel’s Il Terrazzo café. It was a perfect fit for the vast Marina Crescent grounds, overlooking the harbor and Kuwait’s impressive urban skyline, and we’re beyond excited to relive the experience this year.
The Third Annual Taste of Q8 is fast tracking, scheduled to take place from March 16 to 18 2017, at the same time and place as last year’s event. Though we are not at liberty to disclose the list of celebrity chefs who will be appearing in the 2017 Taste of Q8 festival, we will be keeping you on your toes as we announce the lineup in the coming months!
Staying true to tradition, the festival will include 16 shows per day, housed in two different tents: The Celebrity Demo Tent, where you can watch celebrity chefs whip up their signature dishes, and the Interactive Cooking School tent, where lucky participants will learn tips and trick firsthand from local culinary experts.
Last year, dozens of restaurants, caterers and food companies showcased their signature dishes, and interacted with Celebrity Chefs from Food Network, the BBC and KTV Kuwait. 2017’s Taste of Q8 promises even more Celebrity demos, as well as an increase in interactive cooking classes. That’s definitely something to be hungry for!
And speaking of hunger, we’re extremely excited to discover the delicious restaurants who will be setting up shop for you to purchase munchies to enjoy throughout your delicious day’s excursion. 2016 brought us amazing local concepts such as Al Nata, La Brasa, Pizzeria Amami and The Pie Shop, (to name a few) – we’re looking forward to seeing (and eating) what 2017 will have in store for us! For those of you who will have children accompanying your day of fun, you can rest assured that your tiny counterparts will be entertained. As always, The Taste of Q8 will be providing a Kid Zone with child-friendly activities for them to keep busy and refrain from whining about how bored they are while you’re busy shopping around food heaven. Live musical entertainment will also be available, creating a fun ambiance to heighten the experience of a perfect day out for the whole family.
