Following the IKEA vision “To create a better everyday life for the people in Kuwait”, IKEA Kuwait hosted The Second Family Fun Day this weekend; an event packed with outdoor fun, healthy competition, and unforgettable family bonding!
The event took place at Boulevard, Salmiya, from the 23rd until the 25th January, and brought families together for quality family fun time and an outdoor joy for every age.
“With our busy lives, spending quality time together as a family is more important than ever. This is why IKEA first organized the Family Fun Day and in its second edition, we aimed to further support parents in spending quality outdoor playtime with their children in this beautiful winter weather,” said Elisa Albendea, IKEA Brand and CMI Director.
“A little more play and less screen time—whether it is for kids or parents—does wonders for all of us, big and small. It is not just fun; it is good for us too. When we spend quality time with our children, we build stronger connections, become more in tune with their needs, and make lasting memories together,” added Albendea.
IKEA Family Fun Day in its second edition revolved around celebrating Kuwait. During the event, families relived the cherished childhood games of the parents in an exciting experience, featuring traditional Kuwaiti games, family obstacle races, carnival games, exciting kids’ entertainment, and enjoyed delicious meals, snacks, and drinks.
“As we aim to inspire healthier and more sustainable living in Kuwait, this outdoor event provided the perfect opportunity for families to connect away from their daily routines. The positive feedback from last year’s IKEA Family Fun Day encouraged us to make it an annual experience—and this is just the beginning! Stay tuned for more exciting IKEA events coming your way during the Ya Hala shopping festival, as we are a proud strategic partner,” added Albendea.
In addition to the fun and entertaining activities, IKEA will match the amounts from ticket purchases and will donate the funds to a Kuwaiti internationally recognized non-profit organization, making a lasting impact on more families and their children!
