Building on an enviable heritage as one of the world’s toughest 4x4s, Mohamed Naser Al Sayer & Sons EST Co. and Toyota are proud to announce the launch of its all-new Land Cruiser Prado in Kuwait, a vehicle whose unrivaled off-road capabilities have been honed across more than 70 years and 190 countries.
The ceremony was attended by Martin Aherne Senior Business Director Toyota Group Sales, Theo Kruger General Manager of Toyota retail sales, Bader Faisal Al Sayer Head of Toyota Marketing, along with the representatives from press and media.
Since its debut in 1951, the Land Cruiser has proven its ability to excel in even the harshest environments. It has also played an indispensable role in supporting livelihoods in remote areas, contributing to humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts, and enriching lives through unique experiences only the Land Cruiser can offer. The Land Cruiser Prado, introduced to the Land Cruiser family in 1985, then brought the unparalleled performance of previous models in a more compact, lightweight package.
Bader Faisal Al Sayer said “The Toyota Land Cruiser family of vehicles has always undergone development and innovation so that our customers can enjoy distinctive driving experiences with exceptional specifications that give them real and safe driving pleasure on all roads”.
“The Prado series is considered the jewel among the Land Cruiser four-wheel drive vehicles that are characterized by attractive appearance as well as strong performance thanks to superior driving systems and advanced technologies that make everyone who drives the Prado feel safe and reassured” added Bader Al Sayer.
As the generations have evolved, the Land Cruiser Prado has tended to shift to the high-end, luxury lines. During development of the vehicle, Akio Toyoda, Chairman of Toyota Motor Corporation, who was the person with ultimate responsibility for the product, explained his basic approach as the following: “The Land Cruiser should be a vehicle that supports people’s lives and local communities, so the Land Cruiser Prado must return to the true form that customers are looking for.” In response, the development team defined the model’s new concept as a return to the roots of the Land Cruiser, creating a vehicle that is simple, sturdy and a practical choice for customers’ lifestyles.
Keita Moritsu, Chief Engineer in charge of development, said: “Toyota aims at providing ‘Mobility for all’ and ‘Happiness for all.’ What can the Land Cruiser do for that? I believe it is to embody ‘Producing happiness for all’ in more diverse daily life through providing ‘mobility’ in places that only the Land Cruiser can let you come back safe, and ‘reliability’ entrusted by the QDR as well. This is the role that the Land Cruiser has always played — and I believe that should never change.”
Moritsu added:”Whether brand new or used, this is a car that will support every owner. Our aim for the Land Cruiser is to help drivers express their individuality beyond regions and generations and become a reliable partner for years to come.”
Nobuyuki Takemura, Chief Representative, Middle East and Central Asia Representative Office, Toyota Motor Corporation, commented: “We are thrilled to unveil the all-new Land Cruiser Prado to our ever-growing Middle East fan base.
