The Baby Connection Kuwait is the result of the hard work and passion of a small group of women. They came together for the love of children, and were inspired by their little ones as well to curate an event for the entire community. Through the founding of the Baby Connection Kuwait, this event is aimed at strengthening the parent-child bond, and encourage children’s sense of responsibility over their own community.
The event format will resemble that of a work-shop-based fair, and will be taking place in Murouj next to Sahara Golf Club December 11 and 12 from noon to 8 pm.
This fair is a down-to-earth attempt to bring the child development industry closer to the parents, and vice versa, so that parents who have frantically looked for specific needs for their children’s development (be it services or knowledge), know exactly where to go to find it.
The vendors that the organizers have on board span a wide variety of specialists and institutions dedicated to child development from a range of focus areas which include mainstream education, therapy centers such as Soor and Reach Education, special needs schools, arts and crafts vendors, and dance, music, fine art endeavors such as Manifesto 13, fitness, health, holistic well being and community organizations such as FSRI, Birth Kuwait and Omniya Recycling.
The fair will also have a few home businesses and farms on board to better educate the little ones about all-things-organic, such as Kenaneya Farm (which will be teaching kids about farming). The majority of their vendors also include schools and nurseries such as American United School and Little Harvard Preschool just to name a few, and most of the vendors will be holding workshops at their booths which educate the attendees of the fair about their field while engaging them in educational activities that are both entertaining and knowledge-based. The idea is to have fun while you learn. Play, joy, love, and learning.
Organized by Noora Kassem, May Hassan and Zeina, Ammouna they truly hope that the fair will bring the market closer to the child development industry while allowing the industry itself to talk shop and trade ideas on the newest and latest developments in childhood education, nurture and development. They also hope that the weekend that they are organizing will provide parents with a wonderful opportunity to bond with their kids, and the kids a chance to let loose and fall in love with the process of learning.
