The Cayenne Electric marks the beginning of a new era for Porsche. As a fully electric SUV, it combines Porsche DNA with pioneering technology: up to 850 kW (1,156 PS), 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and up to 400 kW charging power4 and up to 642 kilometers of range. It is the most powerful production Porsche of all time – and at the same time more versatile than ever: dynamic on the road, confident off-road and comfortable on long journeys.

The Cayenne was the first model that saw Porsche transfer the legend of the sports car brand to a completely new market segment. The sporting all-rounder became a worldwide success straight from its world premiere in September 2002. Now, a new era is beginning with the all-electric Cayenne.
“The Cayenne Electric shows performance in a completely new dimension, with innovative technologies that we have developed in motorsport. It sets new standards in the SUV segment – in terms of driving characteristics as well as charging,” said Oliver Blume,Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.
“Outstanding electric performance meets very real everyday usability. Excellent long-distance comfort combines with uncompromising off-road capability.”

With about 36 per cent of its sports cars sold globally being electrified, Porsche is one of the fastest transforming car manufacturers in 2025. The Cayenne Electric is the next milestone in this success story and complements the existing offering of combustion-engined and plug-in hybrid Cayenne models in the spirit of a completely flexible choice of Porsche powertrains.

The performance of a super sports car and Formula E levels of recuperation
The all-electric Cayenne family launches with two models: the Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, both featuring all-wheel drive with Porsche Traction Management (ePTM).
The Cayenne Turbo accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds and reaches 260 km/h, powered by a newly developed drive system delivering up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) and 1,500 Nm with Launch Control. Direct oil cooling on the rear electric motor ensures consistent performance. In normal mode, it produces up to 630 kW (857 PS), with a 130 kW boost available through Push-to-Pass. The Cayenne Electric produces 300 kW (408 PS), rising to 325 kW (442 PS) and 835 Nm with Launch Control, and reaches 0–100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

The Cayenne Electric achieves up to 600 kW of recuperative power, matching Formula E standards. Around 97 percent of daily braking is handled by the electric motors alone, with optional Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) available for the Turbo.
Versatility comes from its advanced chassis. Adaptive air suspension with PASM is standard, while the Turbo adds PTV Plus. Both models offer optional rear-axle steering. Porsche Active Ride, available for the flagship model, minimizes body movement for exceptional stability and comfort.

Innovative charging convenience: fast, robust and wireless
A new 113 kWh battery with double-sided cooling delivers up to 642 km of WLTP range for the Cayenne Electric and up to 623 km for the Turbo. With 800-volt technology, charging reaches up to 390 kW (and under specific conditions, 400 kW). The State of Charge rises from 10 to 80 percent in under 16 minutes, and around 320 km of range can be added in just 10 minutes. Robust charging performance was a key development priority.

New exterior design: progressive, aerodynamic and unmistakably Cayenne
The Cayenne Electric blends Porsche’s classic proportions with a modernized design language.
“The new Cayenne is unmistakably Porsche and unmistakably Cayenne,” said Michael Mauer, Head of Style Porsche.
Key features include a low hood, slim Matrix LED headlights, and strongly contoured fenders. The signature flyline remains, preserving the Cayenne’s iconic profile.

The side view introduces frameless doors, a bold character crease, and two-tone side skirts. The rear features a 3D-effect light strip, illuminated Porsche lettering, and Turbo-exclusive Turbonite accents. An Off-Road package with revised front geometry supports challenging terrain.
With a drag coefficient of 0.25, the Cayenne Electric is one of the most aerodynamic SUVs in its class. Porsche Active Aerodynamics (PAA) adjusts elements such as cooling flaps, the adaptive roof spoiler, and the Turbo’s active aero-blades to optimize range and downforce.

A new level of utility, comfort and individuality
The model is 55 mm longer, with a wheelbase extended by nearly 13 cm for greater rear legroom. The electrically adjustable rear seat and 781–1,588 liters of cargo space, plus a 90-liter front trunk, enhance practicality. Towing capacity reaches up to 3.5 tons, depending on equipment.
New Mood Modes adjust seating, lighting, climate, sound, and displays. The Panoramic Roof with Variable Light Control uses switchable crystal foil, while new panel heating warms seats and interior surfaces. Extended ambient lighting adds an animated communication light for vehicle states.
Personalization is extensive: 13 exterior colors, nine wheel designs, 12 interior combinations, multiple interior and accent packages, plus Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, Paint to Sample, and Sonderwunsch options for fully bespoke builds. The Porsche Design custom timepiece program now includes watches tailored to the Cayenne.

Porsche Driver Experience – largest display area in a Porsche
The new Porsche Driver Experience introduces the Flow Display, a curved OLED panel integrated into the center console. It pairs with a 14.25-inch digital instrument cluster and an optional 14.9-inch passenger display, forming the largest display area ever in a Porsche. An AR head-up display creates an 87-inch virtual projection ahead of the vehicle.
Frequently used functions remain accessible via analog controls, supported by the new Ferry Pad hand rest for ergonomic operation. Porsche Digital Interaction adds customizable widgets and a Themes app that syncs color schemes across all displays.

New standards through electrification – trio of powertrains beyond 2030
The new Cayenne Electric now complements the existing selection of drive types, which will continue to be offered in parallel worldwide.

“Inspiring customers is our top priority at Porsche. With the electrification of the Cayenne, we are reaching a new level of performance that sets standards for the future. At the same time, we will continue to develop the Cayenne with efficient combustion and hybrid drive systems well into the next decade. This strategy also applies to Porsche’s entire model portfolio: in every segment in which we are represented, customers will in future have the choice between fully electric and combustion-engined powertrains,” said Matthias Becker, Member of the Board of Management, Sales and Marketing.
