We all virtually, and in rare instances, personally, know of Jumanah Al-Ghadban a.k.a. “Jacqui”. She might prefer to solely exist in our cyber space through the renowned Jacqui Doll, but this consistently awesome blogger has won her place in our hearts with her informed opinions on the world of technology, literature and entertainment.
Jacqui started blogging in 2004, where she loved the idea of sharing her notions about our crazy world online. She explains, “I started writing about my college days, what I would do, how I felt, and shared things that I found interesting. Back in 2004 we were just a handful of bloggers and most would either share personal stories or stories about Kuwait, and 80% were anonymous. I think my passion for reading and thinking a lot in my head led me to want to jot down those thoughts.” The content we see nowadays on couchavenue.com however, is far more organized. We get personal tidbits intertwined with exacting details about her views on the latest television shows and her favorite topic ever: Apple products. She added, “My obsession with Apple helped me write more gadget-y posts, whereas the fact that I watch more than 150+ television shows a year led me to create Fall Television Schedules for which most of my readers await anxiously.” Jacqui delivers all of this information in such a seamless format. She expertly discusses Apple’s latest releases, provides price comparisons between different smartphones, and much more.
In a time when the popularity battle between Android and iOS is peaking, we asked Jacqui what she would do if all Apple products somehow become obsolete, “I would pretty much join them and become obsolete. I think there is an Apple where my heart should be.” She might not originally remember why she fell in love with the brand in the first place, but Jacqui currently boasts an astounding collection of Apple products that includes, and is not limited to, an iMac 27”, MacBook Pro 17”, MacBook Pro 15” with Retina Display, MacBook Air 13” (a couple of them actually), and a MacBook Air 11” whom she calls her ‘children’ and not to mention the countless iPods (her first foray into the Apple craze) as well as numerous iPads and iPhones.
Whether you follow her on Instagram or through any other social media channel, this blogger’s voice is loud and clear. Jacqui loves the interaction one enjoys via Instagram, but she’ll be there to read your comments and wacky feedback regardless!
