The Living Yoga Festival 2015 held at Masaha 13’s beautiful warehouse space in Shuwaikh, is a unique event in Kuwait combining the practice of yoga with art, music and community. It brings Jivamukti yoga for the first time ever to Kuwait with all proceeds donated to the animal welfare charity KARU Q8.
Sydney–based advanced certified Jivamukti teacher Chris Johns will lead the class through the vigorous, inspiring sequencing distinct to the Jivamukti Yoga method. Come prepared for an upbeat session to an eclectic soundtrack plus live nada (sound) yoga session.
Jivamukti means “liberation whilst living “ and Jivamukti Yoga reintegrates the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of yoga for the urban practitioner, and has been gaining a devoted following at its New York, London, Berlin, Munich, Charleston, Whistler and Sydney schools.
This workshop is physically challenging, but is open to all levels of practice. Pre-requisites are a BYO yoga mat, a basic familiarity with yoga, and good physical health
There will be more than a few surprises in the post-workshop event that will include live music, projection art, vegan treats and a yoga diwaniya where you can meet and chat to local yoga teachers.
