This article is part two in a series. Check out The Safat Home Makeover: Part 1 and find out how it all started!
Making the impossible, possible is a task and challenge that Safat Home is ready, willing, and able to take. When we last caught up with the fabulous Safat Home Décor Center team, they introduced us to their lucky couple – Farah AlFadhalah and Bader Al-Sarraf – and their new home-in-the-making. Another day, another mission – while the tasks aren’t getting any easier and the deadline is nearing, still, bazaar and the couple have unconditional faith in Safat Home’s dedicated team! Upon completing a general analysis of the couple’s home, they took a step further and created a space analysis. Armed with the couple’s answers from Safat Home’s survey and a plethora of ideas, concept creation has begun.
The identity of the house, as a structure, is something the couple want to preserve. Modernizing the interior and creating a contemporary look while keeping the exterior’s integrity is a must. Going through ideas upon ideas of the ideal representation of what they crave, it suddenly hit them – the Japanese Cherry Blossom, known simply as the Sakura. Being as versatile as they are, Sakura can be found anywhere in the world combining tradition with a modern aesthetic and beauty. With several elements coming together beautifully, it can be used around the house seamlessly – from the actual blossoms, leaves and branches, to the more mystical elements like earth, wind, water and stone. Bringing in the Sakura as one Meta design umbrella for the home will give off an air of Asian mystery while keeping the structure’s identity intact.
Borrowing inspiration from the colors and textures of the Sakura, Safat Home will be basing the lighting and materials needed around that. Using the dominant palettes from the tree’s scheme, the coloring will be neutral – shades of gray, white, and black with accents of brown, green, and blue. The pinks and reds of the tree will contrast with the accent colors minimally keeping everything fresh and Zen looking. Several mood boards full of ideas, color schemes, and textural inspirations later, Farah and Bader approved the concept and got to work with Safat Home’s talented Décor Center to make this a reality. Tasks were set up and teams designated to cover the whole design area. Every inch was measured, and no corner left un-ruled.
The couple were whisked away to the magical Safat Home Shuwaikh showroom to meet with the kitchen specialists. Gathering ideas with the design team and the specialists, the couple started to pick the materials they want and the colors they like – consulting with the Safat Home team about what would and wouldn’t work. Hashing out the details and what accessories are needed in the kitchen, the design team and couple are working together to make the space beautiful. Sifting through all the possible layouts with the help of the Décor Center, Farah and Bader found their ideal kitchen and design began in the main kitchen area located in the home’s basement. With that out of the way, the talented team took the couple through the rest of the showroom to get a feel for the fabrics and paint samples that could potentially be used for the living area.
With style and function to bear in mind while honoring the home’s original structure, Farah and Bader are working closely with the Safat Home Décor Center to create the perfect space. Vowing to provide nothing short of the greatest market offerings, Safat Home stocks and supplies all the premium features a home might need. So when the couple decided to swatch paint samples to pick from, Safat Home’s dedicated team brought forth Hempel paint swatches. Illustrations upon illustrations are being created for the couple to approve every design element being put in their home. Tours are being conducted within the showrooms for the couple to select what they like and want for their home. Top-of-the-line designers and products are what can be found in any of the Safat Home showrooms. The talented team of designers at Safat Home along with couple will soon be deciding on their home’s flooring from an impressive selection of parquet and tiles.
Coming up, we’ll be exploring their choices for home furnishings, accessories, and curtains. We can’t wait to see what the couple does next! Can you?
