Building on the success of two consecutive years of unforgettable family moments, IKEA Kuwait hosted the third edition of IKEA Family Fun Day, bringing together more than 2000 people for a joyful celebration of play, togetherness, and inclusion.

“IKEA Family Fun Day started as a simple idea with a big dream to help families spend quality outdoor time together away from technology distractions. Today, in its third edition, the event has grown into a familiar place families return to, where everyone belongs; children can simply be children, parents can be children for a day, and togetherness comes to life,” said Elisa Albendea, IKEA Brand and CMI Director.

From reimagined childhood classics to newly introduced games, the third IKEA Family Fun Day offered something for every age. Families played side by side across obstacle challenges, creative play zones, and activities designed for everyone to spark outdoor fun, healthy competition, and family bonding away from screens and daily routines.

“This year’s IKEA Family Fun Day marked a heartfelt milestone as we welcomed 50 children with special needs from the Kuwait Down Syndrome Society, along with their families and teachers. A true reflection of how inclusion – brought to life through play – creates a community where every family feels seen, supported, and included,” added Albendea.

In a meaningful expression of reallife inspiration, the recently launched IKEA Catalogue was brought to life at IKEA Family Fun Day through giant catalogue puzzles, coloring walls, and a display celebrating the history of the iconic catalogue many families in Kuwait grew up with, turning inspiration from the pages into shared, joyful experiences.

“At IKEA, we design homes for a better life, and Family Fun Day is a true expression of that belief, bringing inspiration from the catalogue into everyday moments families can share together. Launching the IKEA Catalogue as ‘Made in Kuwait for Kuwait’ for the first time goes beyond words. It reflects our deep understanding of local families, our celebration of diversity, and our commitment to creating meaningful memories in our beloved Kuwait,” added Albendea.

“With our busy lives, spending quality time together as a family is more important than ever. We thank all the families who joined us and made the Family Fun Day so memorable. We cannot wait to welcome you back next year for more moments of joy together,” concluded Albendea.
