With over 2 million cars in the small state of Kuwait, morning and afternoon traffic are a part of a working person’s daily life. Generally due to the countless accidents that happen on these roads or simply because of the sheer mass of vehicles on the road, the traffic can become a grating experience. Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. The list below outlines the various stages of denial, impatience and frustration that go hand in hand with the soul-destroying traffic routine.
7:30AM – Ahh, there’s a spot of traffic up ahead. Not a problem, I’m 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
7:31AM – I wonder what the hold up is.
7:45AM – There goes my schedule…
8:00AM – Time to send an apologetic text and photo of the traffic to the boss.
8:01AM – Ohhh, that skyline is looking good, Instagram it is!
8:02AM – #ihatetraffic #instalikes #instadaily #likesforlikes #notpretentious
8:05AM – WE HAVE MOVED LESS THAN 30 METRES
8:10AM – *must stare solemn out of window*
8:15AM – How illegal is it to drive on the hard shoulder?
8:25AM – Music will greatly improve this situation.
8:27AM – LIVING ON A PRAYER!!!
8:30AM – Maybe I should listen to just one T.Swift song…
9:00AM – I have been in this car for an hour and a half. Kill me.
9:01AM – Ohh, Starbucks Drive Thru? I think I might.
9:05AM – Hmm, that frappuccino goodness.
9:15AM – Wait. Are we moving? I think we’re moving!
9:30AM – I can see it. I can see the building.
9:31AM – Through the doors and only one minute late.
9:32AM- Dammit.
