8 is our magic number. It symbolizes power, strength and achievement. It showcases the loyalty we’ve found since opening our first salon in Kuwait, and celebrates the number of successful years we’ve had since first opening. It also resembles the symbol for “infinity”, which we feel, with 8 years under our belt, is very fitting – especially due to the infinite amount of positive moments we’ve experienced along the way!
The past eight years have been immensely rewarding, reaping much of what had been sown since our initial opening. Our clientele continues to flourish, keeping our stylists elated day to day as they see their hard work build confidence and spread smiles. As Villa Style director Cathryn, (AKA: Creative Cat) puts it, “The best bit about working at TONI&GUY Villa is how well we work as a team to create a great atmosphere which brings clients back again and again. I love what I do!”
We’ve also recently met our clients’ demand for nail services, as we now offer it at the Corniche branch with Villa’s very own Raquel De Guzman. Annaliza still heads the Villa nail services and both technicians are specialized in using the best professional nail care brand, CUCCIO. Another huge achievement in the last year was our first expansion across the GCC, as we opened in Muscat, Oman, located in Holiday Inn Al Seeb where we offer special discounts to guests.

In the short time since opening, TONI&GUY Oman has become one of the partners of the Women’s Guild and has went on to sponsor the Women’s Guild Awards along with other events and the exceptional stylists even created stunning updos for a local fashion show!
Furthermore, we received valuable input and lessons from special guests visiting from some of our favorite brands. Corniche’s Salon manager Samantha Curatolo states that “Here at TONI&GUY Corniche, everyday is a school day as we are always learning and practicing new ideas and techniques to keep on top of the latest fashion ensuring our clients return time and time again knowing they will walk out confident with the latest trends.”
This past year alone, we hosted two experts, the lovely Sylvia from Leonor Greyl and Max Lamparter from label.m. Sylvia refreshed our stylists’ understanding of the luxury French products that do wonders to the hair through naturally derived ingredients from around the world, and Max showcased his talents as he demonstrated cutting-edge techniques in cutting and styling.

Such opportunities over the year have only given our team growth in numbers and skill. We’ve opened doors for new stylists from the UK, Zoe Rowland, Fiona Docherty and Leah Mansfield. Our newest additions, Gretta Mendonca, Senior Beauty Therapist with over eighteen years of experience in Kuwait, and Preetha Pillai is a certified Beauty Technician whom will be heading our eyelash services with the most advanced techniques.
We also welcomed Ricky Timbas, Senior Stylist/Barber who has joined our T&G Guys Salon in Corniche. Our long-term stylists Emma Verey and Samantha Curatolo both began at the start of it all. Emma manages TONI&GUY Villa, whilst Samantha manages TONI&GUY Corniche. Each member of the salons has unique qualities that bring them together in the most beautiful of ways! Emma Verey says jovially,
“It’s been a pleasure working for TONI&GUY Kuwait for the last 8 years, I’ve been lucky enough to see the company flourish, each member of staff have their individual style, which is portrayed through their amazing work. As a team our knowledge continues to grow, as does our fabulous clientele.”

But of course, none of our success could have been made possible without the leadership of our fearless General Manager, Beverley Van Staden, who started it all with the vision of bringing the British franchise to Kuwait. Beverly is known best for her constant strive for the utmost quality and highest of standards, and all that she has done for TONI&GUY Kuwait has exceeded all expectations of excellence.
