#WHATIFITWEREME is a stance, through Art, against the suffering of The Rohingya. Our hope is to turn our efforts into a global awareness campaign through a traveling #WHATIFITWEREME exhibition, starting with our own community. Because, it could’ve been me, or you, and if it were, we’d want someone to do something. Anything. Through this initiative, we hope to create an artistic movement reminding everyone, including ourselves, that there’s always something we can do. And the smallest little bit does help.
We’re inviting our community to come and paint, or write messages of hope on large stretched canvases, expressing their personal understanding of #WHATITITWEREME – And the personal struggles and loss of the Rohingya people. These Art pieces will continue to grow as they travel the world raising awareness one small community at a time.
Dates: November 16*, 17, 18 2017
*The event will officially begin at 6pm on Thursday, 16th, and will continue through till the 18th during ArtSpace regular opening hours
