PizzaExpress has always been a favorite with their incredible, unique and tasty pizzas that have elevated the scene since they first opened in 1965 in London! Now, they’re available once again in Abdullah Al-Salem at a prime location right next to the co-op.

When we heard that PizzaExpress was re-opening one of their locations, we marked it in our calendars and made sure to be there ! The location is absolutely perfect and inviting for anyone living around the area or those who want to have a bite after getting their grocery shopping done. There’s no harm in heading there before shopping either as you can walk it off at the co-op once you’re done!

As soon as you walk in, you can feel the coziness of the interior as you’re greeted by wonderful smiles from the staff. Look through their menu and be prepared to order more than you planned to because everything looks magnificent!

We ended up going for their Dough Balls as a starter, which were incredibly fluffy and went well with the garlic butter, pesto rosso and pesto Genovese that came on the side. Fair warning though: The only way you’ll know they’re done is when you reach for it and realize you had them all! For our main pizza, after some deliberation on what to finally settle on, we went for the Pollo Con Funghi Bianca, which was made with their incredible dough and topped with baked chicken, fresh mushrooms, cream, mozzarella and pesto sauce. It was sensational and we even had it in the morning but that was no issue as their pizzas are extremely light!

To top it all off, we had to try their tasty mocktails! Their Strawberry and Passion Fruit Fresco was a beautiful addition to the meal and included fresh strawberries and passion fruit topped with sparkling lemonade. If you’re not a fan of strawberry, then you definitely should try their Passion Fresco which has fresh ginger, passion fruit, mint, lemon and topped with sparkling lemonade. All the mocktails on their menu are made perfectly to compliment any pizza you choose to get, so you really can’t go wrong.

We were extremely excited before the re-opening and that excitement has only increased after our visit. Next time you get the chance, make sure to head to PizzaExpress in Abdullah Al-Salem for a memorable experience.
