Netflix’s acclaimed Arabic series The Exchange returns for a highly anticipated second season, diving deeper into the lives of Farida (Rawan Mahdi) and Munira (Mona Hussain) as they navigate the challenges of balancing career ambitions, personal identities, and societal expectations in 1980s Kuwait.
Season 2 moves beyond the confines of the stock market and tensions rise as Farida and Munira’s aspirations bring them head-to-head in a battle to make their mark and claim their space as female bosses. Despite their ambitions, their shared struggles of being career-focused females with their own personal life challenges, ultimately reaffirms the unshakeable bond that empowers them to face the impossible.
The Exchange Season 2 is directed by Jasem AlMuhanna, co-directed and produced by Abdullah Boushahri. Created by Nadia Ahmed and written by Adam Sobel, Anne Sobel and Nadia Ahmed, the new season features a stellar returning cast, including Rawan Mahdi, Mona Hussain, Mohammed Almansour, Jasem Alnabhan, Faisal AlAmiri, Hussain AlMahdi and Rayan Dashti. Joining the cast this season are fresh faces, including Hamad Ashkanani, Asmahan Tawfiq, May AlBloushi and Sulaiman AlBassam.
The upcoming season that showcases the resilience, ambition, and heart of Kuwaiti women during an era of rapid change launches exclusively on Netflix on 13 February, 2025.
